Going back a number of years ago, I wore only white running shoes (called gym shoes at the time). Christmas of 2016 my husband surprised me with a pair of Asics shoes in primarily coral. My first reaction was "Not white! Oh My God, they have to be returned.", but I tried them on so I didn't hurt my husband's feelings, and they were so comfortable. I am retired now, but when I worked at a job, I always matched my shoes and purse to my outfit. I discovered these shoes matched some of my t-shirts. The next day, I ordered a pair of Asics shoes in primarily red. Since Christmas of 2016, I have never worn white shoes again. Now I match my t-shirts to my shoes and even match my socks to my shoes. Incidentally, I still wear the original shoes from 2016, 8 years ago. They are starting to look worn, but they are still comfortable, and I still wear them. I have since bought Asics shoes in a number of different colors to match my t-shirts. I bought this pair in black/soft berry to replace a pair I bought in 2017 that are black/purple. The darker berry color is very similar to the purple in my old shoes. I still wear the older shoes, but wanted something that didn't look worn when I go out. I also bought the blue expanse/light sapphire shoes in this style, which I also love. As we all know, blue can be in different shades and have different tints. So, it can be difficult to match blue shoes to an outfit. Most of these shoes are a dark, true blue, and the accents are light blue and royal blue. So, these shoes would go with most shades of blue. These are now my favorite blue Asics shoes. The colors pictures on the Amazon page are exactly the colors of the shoes you get. As always, both of these Asics shoes are comfortable and fit perfectly in my normal size. The tops of these shoes don't look so much like mesh, which I like. I have tried other brands, but they have never been as comfortable and supportive as the Asics shoes, nor do they last as long. I wear this style and others in the Asics shoes all day, gardening outdoors, cooking in my kitchen that has a hard ceramic floor, and working on my basement garden on a concrete floor. My feet never feel sore or tired at the end of the day. I also like that these shoes "breath". Whether I am wearing wool blend socks in the winter or thinner socks in the summer, my feet are always comfortable. Personally, I would not waste my money on any other brand, nor would I subject my feet to uncomfortable shoes. I do recommend these shoes without hesitation. I hope this review was helpful for you.

Just received today, excited to wear them to work tomorrow to see how they feel. I am a size 7 but decided to get a 7and a half. I should have stayed with 7. They are a little big, so im wearing thicker socks which seem to help. They are definitely true to size! Will update after I wear them to work a few days.

I originally purchased the ventura 7's back in 2021 when I bought my orthotic inserts. They have lasted me a long time, but I wasn't very active. I started walking 2 to 5 miles in the past month and a half, and it was clear I needed to upgrade my shoes. What I love about these newer ones is they have changed the design a bit to make them look more sleek. I am also able to put my inserts over the insole which gives me more cushion and comfort. I decided to buy 3 pair so that I have more color options to work with and these will hopefully last me a couple of years. The light blue on does seem to be slightly larger than the other two. I'm not sure why as they are all 11 W. I am so thankful that Asic's makes an orthotic friendly shoe and are making better designs. The only con is that they don't grip with on wet floors or wet pavement. I live in the PNW, and walk in the rain. These kept slipping on me and I finally had switch over to my hiking boots so that I could get a better grip on the pavement. I be willing to pay a little more for the shoes just so that I can have anti-slip on the bottom of my shoes. Still... it won't stop me from buying another pair. There is another color I would like to have of these.

These shoes have plenty of room for your toes. Nice thick soles. Good traction. They fit very well. I wore them on a 4 mile walk this morning. Right out of the box. Great delivery! ASICS is my brand!

Bought this to replace my asic gel venture six shoe as my feet have changed since buying the them. I went up a size and ordered wide width. Pros: my toes no longer it end of toe box Wider width more comfortable Cons: no to very little arch support Does nor provide medial lateral support like The Ventura 6 did and heal is not as provide Support I would not recommend these shoes for running or long distance walking. They are sufficient for short distance walking, yard work which I will now do. Disappointing they didn’t provide me the support and hat my previous Assics did

I do love ASICS! This shoe is one of their best! Comfy and roomy. I do have an issue of all my past ASICS with the toe eventually poking a hole through the fabric. Hopefully this pair will hold up to my walking! I will update in a few weeks how well they do hold up.

I have been running and trail hiking for for almost 30 years. I have owned more than 20 different brands/ models of running shoes and Asics have always come closest to what I need. This particular pair is just right. My two outermost toes tend to get pretty cramped and sore, but less so with most Asics. THIS Gel-Venture 9 is really comfortable. They are a bit wider, but only just where I need it. Most of the wide-toed runners I've tried exaggerate the width too much, and they feel clod-ish. I like them so much, I am picking out another pair today!
