I've been buying variations of the Gel-Venture forever. The number 8 is a good one, better than a couple of previous that came after the absolutely perfect 5. I always buy a half size larger than my usual shoes for a great fit, and I remove the insole to put in custom orthotics. The shoes don't last a long time, but they also don't cost a fortune. Glad to have a variety of colors. When it comes to under or over pronation, I'd call this one a neutral; but to find out for sure, it's best to check the Asics website.

My significant other has always had this brand of shoes before and told me how much they liked then. Decided to get myself a pair of my own and I won't be trying anything else for a very long time. The size fits perfect especially having a wide foot and the price isn't bad. Material seems standard but doesn't so far after a few months the insides still like new. Would recommend.

I like these shoes for the price. Paid $33 but would not have spent more. They are lightweight and comfy but if you are using as a long distance running shoe I don't think they will hold up for more than 6mo of daily running. I have narrow feet and would not recommend for wide feet.

In comparison to other lower cost ASICS running shoes, this one is far superior. Great fit and comfort. Main usage is daily walking on pavement and trails with my dog. Other types like gel venture 7 or recommended walking shoes hurt my feet after a couple of weeks of wear, not this one. Feels like I could walk miles and miles. Recommend. ordered in blue, beautiful color as pictured.

I have used and LOVED Asics brand shoes for 15 years. I have never had a problem, the shoe has always fit perfectly and if an issue (usually my fault for selecting the incorrect size) they have been more than accommodating! However, did the design change? I have a high arch and love getting new shoes from here. This is is the first time they have not had arch support! My old worn out pair have a high support than these. What happened?!

Very supportive. I do remove the insole and replace with Dr. Scholls Active because I need a very stiff arch support, but the sole of these shoes is very good. Great heel. I have always been a 9 1/2 in Asics. I am still a 9 1/2 in the Gel-Venture 8 in the peach/grey color. But the black/piedmont gray was shockingly smaller. I ended up being a 10 wide in the black. I held up the peach and black next to each other and they were very different. So depending on the color you may have to upsize, or even upsize and go wider. And yes, the peach fits just like the black as long as I change the size on the black pair.

I usually get a size 10, but because of the reviews I ordered a 10.5. They fit perfect. I'm very happy with them. So I would suggest to get a half a size larger. To me they run a little small. They are comfortable and don't hurt my feet.
