The shoes are comfortable, but the base is not as cushioned as I prefer. Probably perfect for running. I do like the arch support and appearance of the shoes!

    • Significant Decline in Quality From Prior Versions

I purchased these to replace a pair of Gel Venture 10s that are beginning to show the daily wear and tear to which they are subjected. In addition to being my walking and workout shoes, my older pairs of Gel Ventures are also my wear-around-the-house, everyday shoes. They are subject to a lot of use. There is no comparison between the Gen Venture 11s and prior versions. I've been wearing Gel Ventures for at least five years and these are, by far, the most poorly made. The toe surround which, in prior models, was sewn on faux suede, is now what appears to be a heat-applied, plasticized transfer. The arch support is weird, hitting me closer to my heel than in the center of my arch. The overall appearance is cheap; the shoes stink, and the soles squeak when walking across a hard floor (to try them on). I cannot recommend these in any way at all. They are being returned. I may try a slightly more expensive Asics shoe but, given the poor performance of a pair recently purchased my my husband, I think I'm going to try other brands instead. ... show more

These model replaces a model 6 I could not part with. This new shoe is a much needed upgrade. I like a wide toe box and good arch support. Guess I’m just an Ascics girl!
