    • Great shoe to correct feet rolling outward

Finally! A shoe without aggressive arch support! My shins and knees had been hurting from constantly rolling outward from too much arch support in my shoes and slippers. These have no arch support (something to keep in mind if you need that), and a medium cushioned sole. It also has lateral side support for stability that helps correct the rolling outward. Despite being a little bulkier, these are lightweight and great to wear for hiking, errands, travel, etc. I have 2 pairs, one for getting gritty and dirty and one for errands etc. I am cautious on the durability, but so far they’ve held up well. If you need arch support, I’d recommend getting a small insert. If you’re like me and need lateral side support without aggressive arch support, these shoes are for you! bought these to replace my usual discontinued model from asics that was the only pair of shoes i could wear with my problematic feet for the last 8 yrs. I didnt have much hope these would work. ordered the wide width and am glad i did. they fit well though a bit too long in length but im right between sizes so expected that. usually i remove the insert and replace with my prescription one but it didnt feel right in the arch, so i put it back in and put my insert over it. much better. there is some tightness on the top of my foot due to the increased internal height and some interior slippage of my foot within the shoe but am very pleased to report no foot pain after several prolonged walks outside. the slippage makes them not good for hilly hiking but for flat neighborhood walks these are great. very soft on the feet. much relieved. the shoe has an added bonus of being much more attractive than my last pair which was frankly fugly. ... show more

I have a pair of the ASICS gel venture 9 that were very comfortable and fit well, size 9 wide. Even though these are the same size, the gel venture 10 is more narrow and did not fit me well around the toes. I ended up giving them away. The shoe feels good walking and standing long periods of time. The sole is spongy and feels nice. The quality is ok but I wouldn't say its anywhere near what it used to be 5 years ago.. this isnt as good but it works. I dont expect these to last as long as my previous pair. I wish it didnt cost so much as well. Its too much for what its worth. Its $20 more than what I paid for better quality. Oh well. ... show more
