  • The Most Comfortable Walking Shoes I've Ever Worn
Size: 8 Color: Piedmont Grey/Illuminate Mint
These are the most comfortable walking shoes I have ever owned. They are supportive, lightweight and well-cushioned. I can wear them for long walks and can stay on my feet for hours without any discomfort or fatigue. They fit true to size, with plenty of arch support and cushioning. They are also breathable and well-made, making them perfect for everyday wear and excercise. If you're looking for comfortable shoes for walking, I hightly recommend these. They are worth every penny! ... show more

  • I LOVE THESE SHOES!
Size: 8.5 Color: Lake Grey/White Sage
I have had such a hard time finding a comfortable running shoe, and I am so glad that I tried the ASICS Gel-Nimbus 27. These shoes felt great right out of the box, but as I have worn them over the last month, they have conformed to my feet and feel even better. Having suffered with plantar fasciitis, I need a cushioned shoe, and this is it. It is so soft and comfortable. I also love the breathable, lightweight fabric on the top of the shoe. Another feature I love is the stretchy tongue. It is so easy to adjust, it conforms to my foot, and it is so soft and comfortable. After testing these shoes for a month and being so happy with them, I ordered 3 more pairs as backups. I would also like to add that when I contacted the seller to ask a question about my order, I received a prompt and very helpful response. I highly recommend these shoes and the seller--Charm City Run. ... show more

  • I Accidentally Became a Running Shoe Scientist I Accidentally Became a Running Shoe Scientist
Size: 9 Color: Fawn/Birch
I am normally a size 8, and I have not bought new tennis shoes in about five years, which explains why my current pair (Saucony Ride 13s) are basically emotional support animals at this point. They’ve been with me through errands, chaos, and my very convincing “I’ll work out tomorrow” era. But now I’m officially doing more walking, running-ish attempts, treadmill sessions, AND I just acquired a new job where I’ll be standing on my feet all day, so it was time to enter the Running Shoes Thunderdome. After doing my first round of research on a very trustworthy source—aka TikTok, I found a runner giving shoe advice, who said with full confidence, that you must size up a full size on your running shoes because your feet will swell. So naturally, I listened to her because she looks like she owns electrolytes. I ordered a size 9. These Gel Nimbus: Easily the most comfortable of the five pairs I ordered. They’re like walking on warm mashed potatoes. Soft, cushy, forgiving, zero arch poking me like a judgmental Pilates instructor. The other shoes I tried and immediately sent back to their creators were: • Hoka Clifton 10 (my feet said “ma’am, why?”) • Saucony Guide 18 (firm like my mother’s opinions) • Brooks Glycerin Max (had feelings about my arch) • New Balance 1080 (also had feelings about my arch) This whole process taught me a valuable truth: I prefer a neutral shoe with no arch drama. If the shoe tries to “correct” me, guide me, or offer unsolicited arch support? Absolutely not. Now, about sizing: The size 9 Nimbus don’t feel too big at all… but they do look like I borrowed my husband’s shoes. So I ordered the 8.5 too, because at this point I’m performing a full PhD dissertation on cushioning versus toe room. In the photos, you can see the size 9 Nimbus on one foot and my ancient Saucony Ride 13s (size 8) on the other foot. One foot is ready for a marathon, the other is ready for a Target run. And because I’m going all-in on this foot-comfort journey, I also ordered Feetures Elite Ultra-Light Cushion ankle socks. (Which I have on in the attached pictures.) If we’re committing to luxury, I refuse to let a crusty old sock ruin the experience. For Round Two of the Tournament, I’ve also ordered: • Brooks Ghost Max 3 • Hoka Bondi 9 • Saucony Triumph 22 • Nike Vomero Plus (loved the Vomero 18s in store) • On Cloudrunner 2 I will report back with my findings once my living room becomes a certified Running Shoe Testing Lab. But for now: Gel Nimbus is the reigning champion of Comfortland. If you love soft shoes, hate intrusive arch support, and want something that can handle walking, jogging, treadmill-ing, and existing—these might be your soulmate. *************** Update 12/2/25 **** One pair from round 2 came in yesterday that made me change my mind about the asics… the asics have moved to second place against the Brooks Ghost max 3. IN LOVE!!! (Keep reading… this change of opinion was short lived.) Today the saucony triumph 22s came in, which I ordered a 7.5 due to a review saying to size DOWN in those, HOWEVER I wish I would have only sized “down” to my actual size of a size 8. The 7.5 fit, but an 8 would have been better. However, I will not be repurchasing them in an 8 to experiment because I already know I don’t like them as much as the brooks ghost max 3 (shown in last pictures with asics and by themselves. Ordered in coconut, size 9- as a true size 8, the size 9 in the brooks ghost max 3 is perfection.) ***update 12/4/25 I spoke too soon about the Books taking first place. I was excited. They were cute. Cuter than the asics for sure. But after wearing them for a few hours, I did start to become aware of the inner arch support. They aren’t as comfy as the asics. Better looking, yes. And if you’re looking for a shoe that’s a little springier with a light arch support, the Brooks ghost max might be for you. Still very comfy, but apparently the mid foot structure help isn’t needed for my feet because it becomes uncomfortable after a while. Maybe I just need to get used to it, but with the asics it has been nothing but comfort. The other shoes in my testing experiment arrived as well. I did get the asics in an 8.5, which I do like better than the 9. So if you’re going to size up, I’d recommend only a half size. Compared against the Nike vomero plus- the Nikes are more stylish/better looking. Bouncier, also very comfortable, more responsive, and a very good competition. I had to put a Nike on one foot and ASICS on the other and walk around to really decide. As far as comfort- asics won again. Compared to the On Cloudrunner 2- not a competition. ASICS is more comfortable hands down. But the cloudrunners were super cute. Compared to the Hoka Bondi 9- again no comparison. The Bondis hurt my ankle bones almost immediately. Instant reject. These ASICS beat out every other shoe I tried in my experiment to find the best for me. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • My favorite running/walking shoe
Size: 8.5 Color: Black/Dusk Violet
Great shoe. When I was a runner I always bought the ASICS Nimbus. Now that I am just a walker, this is still my favorite shoe. I love the stretchy tongue and cushion sole and the perfect fit. I struggle with a herniated disc and this shoe does not aggravate that condition. I’ve heard these are not the best if you pronate, but my gait is neutral so they work really well for me. ... show more

  • Best for Foot Pain!
Size: 10 Color: White/Light Ube
Heel pain? Plantar fasciitis??? Try these my friends! I started walking 5-7 miles daily about 8 months ago and foot pain struck about 2 months ago. I did the research and splurged for a pair of On Cloud 6 shoes on Easter only to have them deflated and tearing by Mother’s Day. The company did not honor the warranty. I next tried Sketchers (various models) and Brooks, only to have the pain get worse. I did an AI search based upon my pain, symptoms and shoe wear. These were the most recommended for my foot type. They are truly amazing! I have support and room, but enough cushioning and flex to move and continue my activities. I honestly wish I could rate higher!!! ... show more

  • sizing not consistent, too wide, a bit heavy, color is different than online photos
Size: 8 Color: Indigo Fog/Cool Grey
1/9/2026: I just received these. They have adequate arch support for my high arches, not overly hard. The top of the heel is very thick, so not sure how this will feel when walking. They are a bit heavy. The Indigo color looks dark blue online, but it has a weird purple cast and doesn’t look good with my jeans. The material is also shiny, which makes them look cheap. The laces are a perfect length, long enough to tie securely, not so long they drag the ground. The shoes are true to size, without the overly wide toe box that looks like clown shoes on the Brooks, so I like that about them. They’re not stability shoes, which is good for me because my feet tend to roll outward slightly, so these feel better when I walk around than my Brooks Adrenaline GTS that have been causing knee pain. These do not cause knee or back pain for me. I’d keep them if I liked the color and they weren’t so expensive. For this price, I want a color I love that goes well with jeans. If I find a color I want, I will update this review after I wear them for awhile. Be aware that the colors in the online photos are very different from what they look like in person. If you ask a question about the color, they provide a very good, accurate description of how it really looks. The user photos don’t always show the true color either, so it’s best to ask. 1/10/2026: New color I ordered arrived. White/Fawn is a lot of shiny white fabric with orange trim. They’re a 1/2 to fill size too long, and much too wide, even though I ordered the same size as before, size 8. I’ll return for a size 7-1/2 in one more color in hopes it will work. ... show more

  • Best Running/Walking Shoe Ever!
Size: 9.5 Color: Stillwater/Cream
This is the best running/walking shoe I have ever purchased. I have only found the colors I like on Amazon too. These Gel cushioned shoes are the most comfortable and I have chronic back, knee, hip and leg pain. I am now able to walk over 2 miles per day and up to 4 miles. I have tried all of the expensive $150-$200 shoes and these are a steal at under $125. I have less pain all over due to these shoes. They also don't stain like the white bottomed or sided shoes do. Beautiful color too. I definitely will be buying this shoe in more colors. They are also better than the new Nimbus 28's which changed the outer material that can snag. This is definitely a better shoe! ... show more

  • Not as good as ASICS other shoes
Size: 10 Color: Nature Bathing/Guava
I’m a nurse and have worn multiple pairs of ASICS Noosa Tri shoes. They’ve always fared well and kept my feet comfortable. These, not so much. I’m aware they’re not branded as nursing shoes but I figured I’d try a new style from ASICS. While these are indeed comfortable, the colors are great, they a lightweight and fit well, they do hurt my feet after only a few months wear. I stopped using them for work and now use them day to day. They’d work great for running and the gym, but since I used them on concrete floors I don’t want to cross them over to the gym. ... show more
