I wasn't sure how these were going to work for me. I get Plantar fasciitis every so often and when I do finding shoes that don't make it worse is hard. After suffering trying to wear Brooks and New Balances I decided to come back and try ASICS. In the past I've been a big fan of ASICS. I just found you had to size up a lot on some shoes. These ones I did go up a size and got a wide. There is plenty of room in the toes which I love. There is plenty of padding in this shoe. I like that this version doesn't have that extra thick soles like most of the athletic shoes have right now. I have bad knees and to high of shoes make my knee pain worse. I also love that ASICS offer so many color choices. I got the black and purple and they go together so well. When I bought these Amazon was selling a like new pair for half the cost of a new pair. I took a chance since they could be returned and the shoes were brand new just didn't have all the tags or the ASICS box. My guess is they were a return and maybe the original packaging was damaged in return. 100% recommend.

I am restocking my running shoes and this was 1 of 3 (different brands/styles) recommended [by my Podiatrist, fellow fitness professionals & avid power walkers] for my particular needs. My experience with this brand in past has been good yet it will take a period of breaking-in to get there. This can be frustrating but I know in the coming days it will be total comfort. It is like it needs to mold to my form, gait and feet. As in the past, I will use as an everyday errand shoes until they conform to my workout for speed & distance. This pair is of excellent quality and arch/heel support is exceptional. The toe box is a little tight but that is customary dance between me & this brand.

I look forward to adding a different color to wear when I buy a new pair. The shoes last a long time and gives me adequate support for supination and plantar fasciitis. I've been wearing them for 17 years but don't always buy a new pair annually. Sometimes I buy 2 pairs a year in different colors. Sadly, last year I had a new pair where the R heel rim of the shoe started to flatten out and the cushion wasn't thick anymore. I'm sure it was a defective as most of them are produced overseas. But this flatten out makes the shoe much looser on that side without the cushion to hold the shoe in. It's the first pair where I've not been happy with the quality. It has a large forefoot which is not for everyone. I like a roomier toe box. This pair arrived with a box that had a cut/slash on the bottom edge of the box. The shoes wasn't damaged, but both shoes were all laced up and one shoe was missing the company tags and the shoe was missing the inside paper stuffing and clearly not packed as a new pair. It was probably a return and fortunately didn't look dirty as if it had been worn outdoor. In recent years, Asics has been providing better colors for the kayano, especially for women.

I bought this pair of shoes and a light, pink color, and a light teal blue color. These are true to size, extremely comfortable, and perfect for both working out at the gym and for walking. The only drawback about these shoes is the outer material is soft and will get dirty easily. I suggest if you buy these shoes, you may want to spray them with some type of scotch guarding product. Other than that, the shoes are wonderful. I have plantar fasciitis, and although I still need to use my doctor, prescribed inserts, the shoes are very supportive for my intense cardio and weight training exercises.

I sized up on these, as I have a bunion, and no wides were available. I am a walker. And my area is full of hills. I developed severe tendonosis and plantar fasciitis, and have been looking for the best shoe for me for some time. I love these so far, because the toe box is roomy, they are supportive, and they seem to keep my gait well aligned. They are also soft,and springy. I use an orthotic in my sneakers, but I almost feel as if I could forgo them in these...but I dare not try. I really hurt my Achilles tendon in my last pair of sneakers, and I am grateful to be able to walk for several miles without pain.

These are dressy for work. ASICS Gel Keyano are the only tennis shoe I wear. This style is nice for work since I’m on my feet all day. I bought them in tan too!
