First, a sizing tip. I wear a woman’s 9 in non-exercise shoes. In exercise shoes I have had best results going up a size to woman’s 10. I ordered these in 10 and they fit perfectly. These shoes are great. I need to have my toes spread out and there is plenty of wiggle room in the toe box. I also have flat arches so the orthopedic support is very welcome. As other reviews have noted, the support needs to mold itself to your foot so it will feel a little stiff at first so give it time to learn your contours. My feet feel supported but not restricted. I have worn Gel Kayanos since they came out. They are my go to shoe. I am normally an 8 and in last ones had to go to 8.5 and on this shoe a 9. The toe box seemed a little more narrow and shorter. I've owned these running sneakers for four months now. I bought size 9.5 M and they seem too small. I owned the Gel-Kayano-27s in the same size before I bought these ones so I thought I was buying the right size but my toes keep butting up against the front of the shoe. If I were to buy them again, I would buy a size 10 M. The shoes are comfortable and they have good arch support and stability but there is a lot of padding in the heel which seems to push my foot forward in the shoe. Another problem I had with the shoes is that my toes would start to hurt when I walked a few miles in them. I changed the insoles and put in the insoles from my old Gel-kayano-27s and my toes stopped hurting. I think there might be a surface on the insoles that rubbed my toes the wrong way? I always wear socks with the shoes so I don't really know what the problem was. Given that my old insoles fit into the new Kayanos, they are probably the right size but the cushioning in the back seems to push my feet too far forward. I have tried using the lacing hole closest to the ankle and got some relief but they are still bothering me. I thought the problems would go away after a while but not yet. ... show more

I have a narrow heel and wide toes. I have trouble with shoes, sneakers+ boots that have seams in the toe area or are narrow. The ASICS are always very comfortable and support this need.

It is comfortable when I use it for My treadmill but not for work. My feet hurt at work I will have to go back to my brooks again. Too bad they look nice but not for My feet . Soooo sad I had high hopes for these shoes .

Good but not great. Kept the Brooks Ghost 15 instead to use for my 12hr hospital shifts. A little lighter weight than the Brooks and wider in the toe box. Comfortable and soft in the heel with a low foot drop but a little tight around the mid foot. Good stability. I have a full size up from my normal in this model to run in and it feels a little better. I have to tie the mid foot tight and my foot does slip forward a little on longer runs. ... show more
