I have a slightly narrow foot. Three years ago I got the “27” model of this ASICS shoe. It is a medium width but runs slightly narrow which is exactly what I needed. It also has a good arch and comfort all around. I read lots of comparison reviews on the 27, 28, & 29 models. This new 28 has more cushioning around the back of the ankle that for me is a better fit than the 27. I find it gives me a more secure fit for my slightly narrow feet and does NOT cause irritation or blisters. I put these on the first day thinking I would wear them just a couple of hours to get used to them. I wore them all day and they felt great with all-around cushioning which my old shoes no longer had! I’m very pleased and am considering a second pair due to the great reduced price and because the newer models no longer have a tongue that can be adjusted…more like a sock instead. The jury is still out on how those may feel. I’m thankful I was able to order these online and that they fit as well and even better than my first ASICS pair.

I live in the Gel Kayanos. I stand harder on the insides of my feet than the outside and these eliminate all of the fatigue that comes with walking/standing like that. Not all ASICS are built the same. I’ve tried the other styles and the kayano is the most comfortable for me. I have a neutral pair and a blue pair so I wanted a fun pair and went with the mesh looking lite show in carrier gray/pure silver. The gray is like a charcoal gray. Somehow bright af and still neutral. I can wear these with anything. I don’t know how that works but these are my new FAVORITE. I love the super reflective side logo so I can walk at night and have a little extra visibility. The ankle support is unrivaled. I don’t know where they shipped from but I don’t think they’ve ever been tried on because they’re stiff so I’ve got plenty of life with them. The fact that they were almost $50 off was the icing on the cake for me.

I normally wear a 7.5 wide. Based on reviews and my previous experience with a regular width Asics Gel Kayano pair, I ordered a size up (8 wide). I have high arches that collapse, and my feet are wide in the middle area. I also overpronate both feet; worse on my right foot. The 8 wide fit my left foot perfectly. Great support. Comfortable. It's too loose in the toe box for my right foot. I got a blister on my right big toe, which cleared up after a few days of wearing this shoe daily. Then I went on vacation. Walking 20,000 steps daily (regular sidewalks and roads, some cobblestone) and my right big toe had a giant blister within days. Had to pad that toe daily, even after blister popped. I think I'll retire these and buy a pair in my regular size, 7.5 wide.

I have been wearing Asics Gel Kayano's since model 15. I have four pairs of the 28's at this time. I tried the 29's and 30's and they remodeled the sneaker and it runs smaller than previously made and is not as comfortable and are very chunky and clunky to wear. I run, walk, do zumba, step aerobics, weight train and more with these sneakers and love them. Great support throughout. I will have to look for a new brand once I wear these out unless Asics goes back to this style with their 31's. Well made and last!

After searching for days for a pair of shoes for over pronating, I finally settled on these. Based on the reviews I did go up a half size and they fit perfectly! I’ve worn Ryka for the past five years for walking, but I was going through a pair every eight months because the shoe would wear down to the rubber on the inside where the ball of my foot was due to me over pronating. Because these shoes were designed specifically for overrating, I’m really hoping they will last. I didn’t have to break them in… just put them on and started walking. Very comfortable!
