I’ve only had these on for about two hours. I got them in the mail, put them on, then went straight to the gym. I have the Gel Excite 7’s as well, those have been my daily work and workout shoes for about two years now. Size was the same as the GE7’s, both pairs are 8.5 and fit great. I’m a true 8.5. I’m liking the GE9’s a lot so far. Great support for weight lifting and jogging. Lots of cushion on the heels. The laces do seem a bit short — but maybe they’ll stretch out over the next couple weeks. No complaints yet. I will try to update this review once I get a couple weeks of wear in. ... show more

Good looking, light, very comfortable and wide toebox to accommodate wide feet well. Insoles are not fantastically supportive in the arch, but okay. Easy enough to change those out. Subtle but snazzy design look but not overdone.

Asics have always been my favorite casual sneaker. I love the running shoes because of the comfort. Great for pretty much any activity. They last quite a while. I bought these for work since I’m on my feet 8 hours a day, pretty much everyday. I will say that the mesh wears pretty badly if they get wet often, but that’s expected.     • Not so easy to put on

Maybe it is just me but I have a hard time getting these shoes on. Oh, they fit fine but even with the laces loosened I feel like I need a shoe horn to get my foot in it. They are comfortable but I hate to say this they are just not as comfortable as some other work out shoes I have. I use these for rowing and maybe some treadmill walking (warm-up) but I would not use them for a regular work out like long distance walking and certainly not running. I have worn other Asics Gel shoes that were far more comfortable than these. I used to long distance run and Asics were my go-to shoes because they are so light and supportive, not these shoes though. Granted, you get what you pay for so I guess I will keep using them for rowing and use my others for running/walking long distances. ... show more

I agree with what others have said that the shoes are very comfortable AND I can see why there were several comments about getting holes in the toe area of the shoes after a few months. My big toes are hitting the top of the shoe and I expect that in a few months the shoes will have holes there due to the rubbing. I love the color of the shoes and the comfort but I don't think I would buy another pair unless the footbed is redesigned (lowered) so the big toes don't hit the top of the shoes. ... show more

Was first told warranty did not apply, however, I reached back out to the company and they honored it (based on pictures and the extensive description of my issue with the item). Credit was offered towards the replacement of the same shoe through the company's website directly, credit total was based on the current price. This is my second pair of this style shoe (purchased 4-5 pairs of ASICS in the past) and I had a great experience with the first, so it appears to just be a pair that had some fluky issues. Although time consuming and somewhat frustrating, the company responded quickly to acknowledge my concerns. Gave the shoes 3-stars strictly based on the fact that the overall integrity of the shoe was missing in some areas causing some ailments over time and that I had to deal with the process of getting replacement shoes. ... show more
