I bought these shoes specially for running. They are great for the price. So far, I’ve only ran in them twice so we’ll see how they hold up. They were very comfortable. No complaints at all. Fit and color as expected.

I would have given them 5 stars but despite reviews, they did need a break-in. But they are comfortable now that I have worn them for a couple hours a day, gradually building the time. They look great and perform well. I got a half size larger so I can wear them with heavy socks this winter. No foot pain and very little knee pain. The tie box is large and the foot bed is supportive of my high arches and cradles my foot. Got them on sale and they were a great buy. ... show more

I researched best walking shoes for women and these were mentioned in several articles and were on the lower end pricewise, so I decided to try them. They are very comfortable and provide good support. The toe box is roomy but they are snug around the arch, which is what provides the support when walking. I have a farily narrow foot, but I don't think these would work well for someone with a wide foot. I also use orthotics and they fit in these shoes, but I always buy a size bigger because of that. ... show more

I have purchased ASICS in the past so was pretty sure I’d be happy with these. Went with my regular size and they are fine. The tops around my ankles are a bit stiff, but I took my laces out of the top holes and they were fine after that. I have planter fasciitis so have to add an additional arch support system to most of my shoes so can’t really speak for the arch support. Loved the colors of this shoe (light grey with multicolor pastel-like accents) and how light/airy it feels to wear. I ordered a 9.5, which is a half-size larger than my everyday shoe as I intend on using these for long walks/running and they fit perfectly with a little extra room, just what I was looking for. Be aware of the return policy. I purchased ASICS Women's Gel-Excite 9 Running Shoes in July, 2023. No indication of short return window anywhere in the description (Prime, Free Returns), in the Checkout Cart, or on the Invoice. I use these for daily walking (not even running) or on the treadmill at the gym. By mid Sept. I realized a hole was starting to appear over big toes. I keep my toenails short. Other athletic shoes do not fall apart like this. I went to Amazon to start a return only to find the return window was a month ago. Called Asics who said to go to website. Website says to return an item it has to be basically unworn. Lesson learned to not buy on Amazon or from a Manufacturer's own Amazon store unless the return policy is clearly shown. ... show more
