The Asics Gel-Excite 8 is the latest version of this super comfortable running shoe. The running shoe impresses with its lightweight mesh material, which provides ideal ventilation and air circulation. The material clings to the foot and provides improved grip and comfort. The responsive and robust Amplifoam midsole ensures a comfortable fit. Combined with the gel cushioning, these properties offer great comfort and endurance readiness. A Guidance Line technology allows the foot a more natural and even running movement as well as more stability.

I usually stick to New Balance sneakers and often return other brands, so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like these. They’re stylish enough to wear running errands but also hold up nicely during a run. The footbed is padded and the wide width fit me perfectly. I usually have to size down in other brands when getting a wide, but I’d suggest sticking with your normal size. My biggest complaint is how stiff they feel around the ankle. It definitely took some getting used to, but I do think they provide more ankle support than my New Balance sneakers. I’ve had them for a few months now and the soles still look brand new.
