  • ASICS Gel Cumulus 2023 are like walking on clouds
I found out that the Nimbus is the only ASICS shoe that is more cushy than the Cumulus. That's OK, I'll stick with the Cumulous. They are supportive, have great cushion, and the toebox isn't overly wide (good for me). Snazzy color choices in each generation help too. If your work means you stand and walk a lot, investing in quality shoes makes a world of difference. I'm not a runner, but my choice of footwear in the ASICS Cumulus is crucial in getting me through long hours on my feet. May 2023 update: I have noticed that my feet have been fatigued wearing these 2023 versions. which I never experienced in previous versions of the Cumulus. I started to suspect that I had purchased knock-offs, so I ordered a pair of 2023 Cumulus directly from ASICS.com. Well, that pair has arrived and I can't find any signs that my AMZN purchase was anything other than the genuine article. Phew! Will have to look into other reasons for the foot fatigue. ... show more

  • Extremely comfortable shoes with excellent support
I love Asics and most of my athletic shoes are Asics. However these are even more comfortable than all the others. I am a massage therapist and therefore I am on my feet all the time. In these shoes, my feet do not hurt at all after a long work day. My feet underpronate and I learned that this model of shoe is very highly recommended for underpronation. I can see why! I have no ankle soreness or outer foot pain like I usually have do to my underpronation. My feet even feel more stable with them on- no more rolling to the outside of my feet! If you aren't familiar with Asics sizing, they run a tad small. For example I am usually a 10 or 10.5 regular. In Asics I am an 11 Wide. Hope that helps! ... show more

  • Sole is not sturdy.
I am a huge supporter of Ascis running shoes. I have had them for a dozen years and ran marathons in them. In recent years I’ve noticed that the soles are unsubstantial. The toe box is comfortable and never needs breaking in. The upper looks new, but the shoes need to be replaced since the sole is breaking down. They are soft and not sturdy. ... show more

  • Comfy shoes.. but develop holes
This is my third pair of this shoes. I have hard to fit feet. Size 12 but skinny. These shoes feel great, but every pair developed holes at the top where the big toes comes up. It doesn't happen right away, but it does happed a little sooner then I want to change to new pair. I deal with it because its hard for me to find shoes and these work great for me ... show more

  • Sufficient Support for Plantar Fasciitis
I've been having such a hard time finding just the right sneaker for my plantar fasciitis. I've spent so much money on sneakers, insoles, wraps, splints, compression socks, etc. One thing I've learned over this year is that I need something that fits snugly around my achilles tendon. These sneakers are tight enough around the back. Also, they are very cushy on the bottom. I have high arch insoles which I could put into these sneakers, but it is debatable whether they are more comfortable than the cushy insoles you get with these sneakers. I've been ordering sneakers, trying them on and then returning them. I'm very happy to have found these! I ordered a size 9 and a size 9 1/2 so I could try both. I went with the nine and a half so I will have a little bit extra room for my big toe. I spent $80 for these and they are way better than the $150 Brooks sneakers I bought. I think these are really going to help my plantar fasciitis! ... show more

  • Asics Are Very Impressive Shoes
Asics are the best shoes for me at a good price. Getting a half size larger works good for me because Asics seems to run a little smaller. Have both the Asics Venture 8 and Asics GEL-CUMULUS, both feel very comfortable and supportive on my feet. Finding a shoe that fits my troubled feet has been a journey. Asics seems to be well made because of their attention to the detail and attention to the needs of different individuals from plantar fasciitis to a specialized sport's shoe. I am happy to finally be comfortable. In my journey to comfortable shoes, Brooks Ghost 15 also made it to the top of my list. ... show more

  • Comfortable Running Shoes
Good support for me (I’m an older runner and need sturdy support). They have good cushioning to help deflect foot strike shock to the joints. I recommend you try these shoes on in a running store first to get your size correct saves on returns.

  • Nimbus 23 is Not a good Asics Nimbus model
I have worn Asics, either Kayano or Nimbus) for many years - since approximately 2011. Last September 28th, 2022, I purchased a pair of women's Nimbus 23 through Asics Amazon store. It was the Grand Shark/Digital Aqua. The shoes fit fine. However, after wearing them for a time, I noticed that my right toes were punching forward and uncomfortable in the toebox. I examined the shoe and found that the back upper padding that goes around the ankle had collapsed. I would make sure I pulled the padding up each time I put them on in an effort to make them fit comfortably. I figured it was something I did to make the shoe collapse. It is NOT the entire back...just the foam inside the material. I bought a second pair of the same shoe through the Asics Amazon store. I decided to try them again. However, once again, the back on the right shoe seems to be dropping, and it is pushing my foot forward. For this pair, I made sure each time I put them on that I reached into the shoe and held the foam up to ensure I did not cause the collapse. I would not recommend this Asics Nimbus 23. 1. It did not last very long at all. 2. It becomes a very crowded, uncomfortable shoe...or at least on the right side for me. The left is still ok. I did get them on sale, but the quality of this shoe has caused me to start looking for another brand altogether. ... show more
