I have a problem with my right foot. These are the only sneakers that I have found that make it comfortable to stand and walk around all day. The only thing Im not crazy about is the mesh on the top of the sneaker. My big toe seems to rub through the mesh in a matter of weeks. To me they are still well worth the money. I just take a little black floss and sew the hole closed. It been impossible for me to find a well made sneaker that has a solid top. However I can live with a little hole knowing that these sneakers are going to get me through the day. Over the years I have bought countless contend 7 sneakers and I will continue to purchase because they meet my needs.

I’ve always been a fan of Asics because I have high arches and they seem to offer the most comfortable support. Was in need of new running shoes and normally purchase Asics Gel Ventures, but saw these Gel Contends on sale for half the price, so thought I’d give them a try. When I first put them on, my feet seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. They are well cushioned on all sides, not just your arch, and are quite comfortable. I will admit that the snugness did initially surprise me, but I quickly got used to it and have taken them on a few runs that seem to have much more bounce than usual! These shoes are awesome and my new favorite! Happy to have discovered them!

I normally wear a size 10 and I have a relatively narrow foot. Due to some mild issues with bunions, I ordered up 1/2 size and also ordered the Wide, in an attempt to gain some room in the toe box. Unfortunately, these shoes have an overall narrow design, from heel to toe. The Wide size gained me no extra space in the toe box or in any other part of the shoe. They do seem like decent shoes for the price. But be aware that they are designed for a snug fit and they won't be comfortable for anyone needing a roomy shoe. On a positive note, the length was accurate, the heels are well padded for comfort, and they seem to have a decent amount of cushion.

I happened to catch the reviews on these shoes (odd, because I don’t remember looking for shoes at the time 🤷🏽♀️) but I noticed that many people remarked that they run quite narrow. Since my perfect size (if it existed) would be 11.5N, I took a chance on the 12’s. They’re PERFECT! Just long enough for me and nice and narrow! There is an additional hole so that lacing can be tighter at the insole/ankle area. The insole is easily removed for custom orthotics so it feels like the shoe was custom made for me. I bought the gray and I’ve already reordered in the black. If these hold up well, I’ll likely order yet another pair. I can get 3 pr for what I’d pay for ONE pair of tennies that feel this good! For my feet that are shaped like waterski’s they’re perfect!!

I chose size 6 bcoz im 5.5 but the size came just fit to my feet. Seemed like 5.5. How i wish, i choose 6 wide so that there would be more room for my feet to breath. This shoes also made my heel painful after 12hrs long standing. If only it can support long hours of walking & standing then thaT would be great.

I bought the same kind of shoe (Asics gel contend 7) 1 year ago because I was impressed with the support and comfort, especially the arch support. They were the only comfortable sport shoes at the store. So I bought these on Amazon recently and tried them on... the support felt just like the pair I have had for over a year... not when I first bought them though... I mean they feel like they are already worn down, no padding, and absolutely zero arch support. The whole reason I bought the new ones was so they would give the support I needed for my high arches and sore feet. I'm really disappointed. Either my feet have gotten way worse (??) or these shoes have. I returned them. The process was easy, thankfully.

I just wore these so I can’t comment on their longevity. I do suffer from foot issues, I have splay feet and have a lot of foot pain because of it. Also, my toe box is wide due to my splaying. I normally buy Brooks but they are $$$. I wanted something cost effective, wide and light. I ordered a 1/2 size up, normally I wear 8 and I ordered 8.5, perfect fit! On the first walk, they seem very comfortable and light, I wear arch inserts and they fit very well without making my foot feel too tight. They are great walking shoes for anyone with foot issues and affordable, I recommend!
