I read reviews (about running small), I ordered a 10M which is what I normally order for sports shoes and boots. I have orthotics because I have very flat feet and pronation. But with the orthotics in, I was worried they'd be too tight. I removed the pad insole and placed the orthotics in the shoes. They are a little snug, but still, toe room is fine. I like that the shoe is more structured, not soft...I need a sturdy shoe to keep my ankle from rolling inward. They're really cute, don't make my feet look huge like flippers! Wearing for first time today, so I'll maybe update my rating after a few days...

I absolutely love Asics shoes and have worn them for many years. I wore them mainly while playing sports but they are also wonderful for working in a restaurant! I used the same pair for 3-4 years and they lasted through volleyball, exercising, working outside, and working in a kitchen. I recently purchased a new pair when my old ones finally wore out and the cushioning is amazing. I can work 8 hours, constantly on my feet and come home without pain. These are extremely high quality shoes and the price is unmatched! If you want a good pair of sneakers that won't break the bank, this is the pair. I have used my new pair for around 2 months and they are just as comfy as the day I received them. These asics are beautiful shoes and highly recommended!

I am on my 4th pair of the Asics gel-contend 7 running shoe. I have a high arch and speed walk about 30-35 miles/week. For over a decade I wore Brooks Ghost shoes and with a change around Ghost 13 I could no longer wear them without getting heel blisters. It forced me to find this shoe which is a lot less expensive:) I do wish the bottom didn't wear out as fast. I have to replace about every 6 months, however, I noticed that with the more recent Brooks shoes also. Although with the recent pairs, my tween girls have still worn my retired shoes since they don't need the same support and besides the bottoms they still look great. In October 23 I purchased the gel-contend 8. I returned them and got the gel-contend 7 because I didn't feel like it had as much arch support and the heel height seemed shorter. The 8 was not as comfortable as the 7. I also have bunions that make my foot a little wider, but not wide enough for a wide version of shoes and I think these fit well (so maybe not the best shoe for someone with narrow feet). I usually wear a size 8 and from the reviews I ordered and 8.5 and it fit perfectly.

I wear an 8 Wide. The box & sneakers were labeled as such, and they felt comfortable initially, but the longer I wear them, the more I feel my big toe being pushed into the next toe on both feet, as if they're regular width. Arch support isn't as high as I need, but I can't remove the inner soles to make room for my favorite inserts.
