These ASICS shoes aren’t quite as generous in the toe box as described, tend to run just a bit small. I purchased to use around our acreage, going for walks, maybe on hikes. I’m not unhappy that I bought — just not delighted that I did. They are fine-enough I’d say, especially for the cost, which was about half of what I was seeing for perhaps comparable shoes. My feet don’t hurt and they do the general walking job, with support.

I've been wearing these sneakers for more than a year, I like to walk in parks in them. Very well ventilated, comfortable. If you, like me, walk on sand, then your socks will also be a little dirty because there is a good perforation in the sneakers. Sorry for the photos - I've never washed them)

This is a good shoe for the price. This is good for a person with wide feet, so order wide with if that's you. I'm a size 8 but ordered a 8.5 for toe room & for movement & socks. It has a decent support but I do use a Dr. Scholl's insert because I have small feet & I carry a quite a bit of weight and I'm active, I like to walk fast-paced up to 10,000 steps. Remember these aren't the $100-$150 quality shoes & you'll feel the difference in the bounce, shock support but they do well.

Asics original gel-contend was the best all around walking/running/other activity sneaker I've had in years. The new generations are not quite as good but the 6 is still better than other brands. The toe box fits even most troubled feet and the mostly mesh foot with leather trim is great for comfort and flexibility. The insole is satisfactory as well having good cushion. They are not as durable as leather but leather isn't as soft and pliable as these.
