Move from feeling standard to super in the SUPERBLAST 2 shoe. It's designed to help provide the most responsive, energized feel compared to other shoes in the ASICS cushioning range. The midsole features a combination of FF BLAST PLUS and FF BLAST TURBO cushioning. Also used in our METASPEED racing models, this foam helps create one of the lightest and bounciest running experiences. This shoe's upper construction features an asymmetric mesh design. It features different colors on the medial and lateral angles of the shoe for visual interest. Polyester upper and lining. Ethylene vinyl acetate insole. Lace-up closure in a round toe silhouette. Pull loop in back for easy entry. FF BLAST (FLYTEFOAM BLAST) TURBO cushioning improves compression and creates a responsive feel underfoot. Engineered mesh upper material improves airflow and fit. Gusseted tongue wing fit system Improves the midfoot fit and reduces tongue sliding. The heel stabilizer helps support the foot and create a more balanced stride. FF BLAST PLUS technology cushioning provides lightweight impact absorption and a responsive rebound. AHARPLUS heel plug rubber. Improves the outsole durability. Paired with trampoline-inspired outsole design provides a more responsive bounce back. Synthetic rubber outsole.

Big fan of NB4, and ASICS overall quality. These are my favorite shoe to date. The FF Turbo +, combined with the FF Blast+ makes the shoe super light and your run relaxed with the sole being plush, bouncy, yet firm, giving you great overall feel with incredible traction and support when walking, on long runs or at the gym. The original SuperBlast is my all-time favorite running shoe. This is very, very close. The only reason it doesn't overtake the original in my mind is that the bottom, softer layer of foam (I don't feel like looking up Asics' marketing terms) isn't quite as cushioning as the original. Asics used a more environmentally friendly material, but it does make the ride a tad firmer, even after the shoe is broken in. I'm nit-picking, though - this is a fantastic shoe. Good energy return, comfortable, great outer sole (slightly grippier than the original) and shockingly light. It's equally at home doing weekend long runs and speedy interval training. For a runner like me (usually 10-20 miles/week, with a handful of 10-milers, half-marathons and 5ks per year), this really could be your only running shoe. ... show more

Amazing shoe ! I have received so many compliments . I am truly impressed . The first thing I noticed was how lightweight they feel — it’s like running on clouds but still with great support. The cushioning absorbs impact beautifully without feeling too soft or unstable.

Heavier slow runner logging 50-70mpw. Shoe is snug but fits according to size. Felt miserable on a slow paced treadmill warm up/recovery (10-9min/mile) Felt unresponsive and dull. These shoes really came to life as the pace picked up. From 8:15-6:00 min/mile the rocker and foam felt lively, supportive and generally like it was meant to be. Session was short only 7.25 miles but feet and legs felt fresh from the assist of the rocker and foam. Will make a note after a longer session (2+ hours) to update ... show more

If you demand a running shoe that has excellent midsole cushioning and a great feeling response, the Asics Superblast 2 is one of the few that exceed my expectations. Superb comfort with dual-layer FF Turbo Plus atop FF Blast Plus Eco foam (and yes I had to look that up), it's the lightest weight shoes i've ever owned. It feels like both of these together weights as much as one Ultraboost 1.0. It's high-stack design was strange for what I'm used to but after even a few minutes, I get the hype: effortless transitions across paces and distance. Mesh upper is super breathable and secure. The 'AsicsGrip premium compound' outsole offers better traction and resists pebble ingress over the Superblast 1 both functionally and in durability. In short, the Superblast 2 not only excels as a do-it-all super-trainer, a complete package of cushioning, stability, and endurance (and it looks great). The price is hefty, but these are my favorites, definitive five-star commitment for serious runners. ... show more

Great shoes. Buying them sucked. Ordered a pair of shoes in size 11, got like a size 13 in the box. Returned the box to kohl's, had to try again and bought them in a different color since this one was now sold out. Got a refund in Amazon gift card. A month later they charge my card again saying the item was never received.... still waiting on my refund after contacting customer service 2 weeks ago.... shoes are great though just buying and being charged double the cost for an already expensive shoe sucks. ... show more
