Until now I only wore gel- contend model 5 or 6 but it has become close to impossible to find them in size 11 x-wide So I took a gamble since these ASICS come in that size. What a pleasant surprise. They are very light perhaps not as well made as the high end models but they are super inexpensive and quite comfortable. They are NOT heavy duty sneakers but good for relaxing and doing nothing. I have worn Asics exclusively for years. I've tried many different models, and been very happy with all of them. This pair just doesn't have the comfort level that is typical of the brand.
