Stylish color with a good fit. I've been wearing Asics Gel-Venture since the 5th or 6th generation. The 9's are just as comfortable as previous generations. I got a pair of the Green for now, the Midnight for when I go through the Green, and then I also got Black (to wear occasionally for casual-wear) to replace my New Balance black shoes that were horribly uncomfortable. All three pairs fit exactly the same, and none of them had a weird squeak that required a return - this had happened to me with both the 7th and 8th gen Gel-Venture. Everybody has their favorite shoes, but I've tried them all and they are so much more comfortable than the likes of Nike or Adidas, especially in the balls of the foot, and they have better arch support as well.

They're comfortable, well-made, sturdy, breathable, etc... I can definitely see how doctors, and nurses use this brand for their job cuz they can withstand some wear & tear. I work retail and walk a LOT for my job so I'm happy that the outside of them still look fine despite my mishaps. The only bad thing I've noticed is on the inside of my right shoe, it's worn down the material on the right side of my heel to the hard material the shoe wall is made of since it's my dominant foot, my left foot only just barely started to wear through the material. Like I said tho, my job consists of me walking for nearly 8 hours a day, that doesn't even include any time I've used them outside of my work. I've spent more money on shoes before and had them the same amount of time and seen the wear & tear be so bad by comparison. I will most likely be sticking with this brand the next time I decide to replace these.

This is my 4th or 5th pair of Ventures. What I love: 1. They have wide sizes. 2. they do not come unglued. 3. all kinds of color ways. 4. affordable. = 5 Stars I use these daily for running. Having wide feet, finding a good sneaker is not easy. this is what attracted me to Asics. Since then I realized all the other things that makes these a great shoe. I've had many shoes that the soles separate...they literally come unglued. It is always at the most inopportune time. I haven't had any of these come unglued. The tread wears out long before the glue does. There are multiple colorways, so you can find a pair that fits your likes. They are a great value. Especially with running/tennis shoes/sneakers. They are going to get thrashed, so when they do it doesn't break the bank. I have high arches, so foot pain has never been a big problem. For me these are comfortable. I think I get about 8 months out of these shoes. I put around 1-3 miles in these daily. I basically run them until the soles wear out or the traction gets slippery. Pun intended, your mileage may vary.

So this is my second pair of these after finding out that the original size I ordered (10M) was an incorrect fit. I tried soooooooooo many different lacing techniques and would always end up with my heel moving or getting major forefoot blisters. After some reading I purchased the 9.5 size and these fit WAY better. Debating to even go down to a 9 because I still feel some very very slight play but nothing compared to the 10's. They're very comfortable and I use them daily for incline walking with a weighted vest.

My podiatrist recommended ASICS Gel Venture 7’s to me about 18 months ago and I was very pleased with their comfort and arch support for my daily 3-4 mile walks. Since they were getting pretty worn, I ordered a pair of the Gel Venture 9’s as a replacement. The Graphite Grey/Faded Yellow color combo looks terrific IMO, and I was hoping they’d offer the same satisfaction as the Gel Venture 7’s. I noticed immediately that they had one less pair of eyelets and hoped they wouldn’t be missed. First impression in the house was a very stiff sole, so much so that the outsoles literally slapped the floor when walking. The first thing that came to mind were “clown shoes” as went FWAP, FWAP, FWAP over the hardwood floors. I tried bending them back and forth to make them a bit more limber, but they still THWACK like crazy, even after about 50 miles of walking. A greater concern is the seeming lack of arch support, compared to the Gel Venture 7’s, which translates into big toe pain for me. I’ve had to cut a few walks short, as a result. Since I can’t return them at this point I’ll keep them on hand as a backup and use them sparingly. I’ve already gone back to the 7’s as my go-to walking shoe.
