Description

Experience the lasting comfort with GEL-NIMBUS 22 running shoe from ASICS. Packed with technologies to improve the performance of neutral runners, the newest iteration of this iconic running shoe delivers soft cushioning and a responsive stride, featuring a softer GEL cushioning unit in the heel for excellent shock absorption. Improved forefoot GEL technology further reduces the load on feet, while the FLYTEFOAM Propel technology in the midsole delivers more energetic ride. TRUSSTIC technology under the arch of the shoe, this thermoplastic piece provides stability, reduces weight, and helps extend the life of the shoe. The lightweight, engineered mesh upper allows your feet to experience improved breathability, offering a supportive and adaptable fit. Designed with high mileage runners in mind, the GEL-NIMBUS 22 shoe implements more foam in the midsole to reduce the severity of harsh impact. Additionally, a lightweight AHAR outsole reduces the overall level of wear, allowing you to spend more time focusing on your running workouts. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, the GEL-NIMBUS 22 performance running shoe is designed to deliver soft cushioning and a more responsive stride. • The Nimbus 17 is back!
Cushioning has never been the same since the Nimbus 17. Now with the 22, it's finally back! Hopefully Asics will keep it that way.

  • Great running shoe, just sized a bit tight
Size: 11 Color: White/Black
Loved the Gel-Nimbus 18, but have been disappointed with the 19, 20 and 21. Decided to try the 22, found it to be about a half-size too small. Sent it back and got a half-size larger, now very pleased. More room in the front and that old familiar gel comfort.

  • Not with your money. Buy another Asics model.
It cost too much for what you get. I have an Asics Quantum180 4 too. The Quantum 180 4 fits better and is more comfortable than the Nimbus 22. Plus I bought the Quantum 180 4 for much less at about $50 where this one cost me $150. Big difference and not worth it. My big toe kept on hitting the tip. I bought the same size as my other Asics sneaker. But this thing seems to be higher at the heel and lower by the toes. So your feet slide down towards the front tip of the sneaker. Not a good design. ... show more

  • Best nimbus since the 16.
Size: 11.5 Color: Glacier Grey/Graphite Grey
I loved the nimbus 16, And had about 6 of them. Hated the 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21. They were all very uncomfortable. Glad to learn that the 22 are similar to the 16.

  • These shoes have a cult following for a reason!
Size: 10.5 Color: White/Black
I've put a few hundred miles on these Nimbus 22's, and they're just as good if not better than the previous versions of the Nimbus that I've owned (last version was the 14). I read a LOT of reviews before buying this version, and honestly it seems like dedicated Nimbus runners are 50/50 split on this version of the shoe. Some people LOVE them because they're similar or better to past versions of the Nimbus, others swear that the Nimbus shoe has gone downhill since version 17/18. Personally I've owned 3 pairs of Nimbus since my first pair of 11's, and they've never failed me. ALWAYS worth the $150 spent, and I'm usually able to put a few thousand miles of road running on these before they need replacing. I compared side-by-side with the increasingly popular Adidas UltraBoosts and this shoe wins for true running hands-down. I even converted a friend from Ultraboosts to Nimbus after he tried mine on and ran a lap around the block. Ultraboosts are very comfortable and have a lot of "cushion" underfoot, but simply lack the support and structure that really makes the Nimbus shine as a running shoe. I've tried every Nike, Adidas, Brooks, Saucony, and Asics shoe over the last few decades and the Nimbus continues to rule them all. I'm now a part of the cult following! Keep in mind that since Asics is a true running shoe brand (and not a fashion brand) their shoes are created to custom-fit your foot based on your level of pronation. I attached the Asics chart to help illustrate which shoes are designed to fit each level of pronation. Have a look and take advantage of Amazon Free Returns to try a pair on! ... show more

  • Best Running Shoe I've Ever Had.
Size: 12 X-Wide Color: Glacier Grey/Graphite Grey
I've been a big nimbus fan for many years, owning the 16,17,18,19,20 &21. The Nimbus 22 is the most comfortable model to date. It has the most cushion and comfort when compared to the earlier models. I highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

  • Best Nimbus since the 18s
I have been a loyal Asics buyer for a few years now. I have a wide foot and I need something for under pronation so the Nimbus and Cumulus are the 2 models I buy. I have been a little disappointed by every Nimbus since the 18 which was my favorite by far, so good I owned 3 of them. The 19s were kinda bad, 20s were okay and 21s were decent. The 22s are excellent, these are my favorite since the 18. They do run a little smaller, similar to the 19s but once broken in they are going to be like a glove. The heel cups are nice and snug and good room in the toes. And for once the 4e comes in 2 very cool designs... I got one of each and they're the best looking Nimbus yet in my opinion. I am not a runner but a walker and these 22s are like walking on a cloud but they are not sloppy soft like the last Cumulus model was. I'd say the 22s are the best model since the 18 and if you like Asics they will please you. ... show more

  • Spring-Loaded; Inconspicuous Arch; Gorgeous Look
If you're like me, you've seen these Gel-Nimbus shoes on other feet for years, looking better than any other running shoe. But if you're also like me, maybe you're old school and have resisted, thinking ASICS was likely delivering pure window dressing. At the low-risk price threshold of under $100, I finally succumbed, and I'm elated. Observations: (1) No exaggeration, this Gel-Nimbus 22 model feels lightweight and spring-loaded: The cushion and bounce-back when pounding pavement is remarkable. (2) Mesh fabric perforations throughout the shoe's body empower elite breathability. (3) I love its tread, which I'm fussy about for the same reasons I overanalyze tires -- I want maximized surface area contact, but I also want any rain/water pushed out from underneath me. (4) Wonderfully inconspicuous midsole. (5) Fit is true to U.S. sizing. (6) Looks great with jeans, too. This is an elite running/jogging shoe you have to try at least once, which is a good predictor for buying twice. Proceed to checkout! - (Was this of use? If so, let me know by clicking "Helpful." Cheers!) ... show more
