It has good grips for the outdoors. Indoors, it's fine in almost all cases except on tile when mopped, it was super slippery as a warning. Very comfortable and is holding up nicely after wearing them for a few weeks with a wash or two in washer as well.

I purchased a higher priced ASICS running shoe ...a 12 1/2 M. it was really tight on my feet. I have foot issues and I need a shoe that gives me support while comfort as well. The ASICS Men's Gel-Excite Trail 2 Shoes really meet my needs and give me comfort. So I bought a size 13 and I am happy as a toad. The shoes are light with some cushion to assist in stepping. The fit is perfect for my feet. The appearance is great. I will probably by another pair in the near future. They are the second pair of ASICS that I have owned. Great shoes for walking or running!
