Asics always fit well but the gel 8's have an open mesh for toes that are not suitable for my needs. You can see your socks/feet right through the toe box.

After wearing these on several walks, I had to buy additional heel cushions. They made my heels hurt after a 30 minute walk. I expected a bit more comfort from this shoe.
