These sneakers held up nicely and only started to wear down (insoles) after 8 months of everyday wear for 10-12 hours of wear per day! I would say that that's a definitely a win. These type of sneakers are specifically made to form to your foot, they are very comfy! However, because the insoles are non removable, unless you size up for inserts, you'll just have to buy another pair once you've gotten a good amount of usage. Loved them!!!

But for the price of these the comfort almost feels like walking on a tempurpedic, the gel cushioning is better than expected especially after having surgery on my leg, I would recommend these for any running or working out or even general comfort

I've been buying Asics 10.5 US Extra Wide (4E) for 10 years or more. Sometimes I also buy Brooks and sometimes New Balance but I always wear a 10.5 XW (4E) in all three. I usually buy 2-3 pairs at a time, so it takes me a while to wear them all out. I ordered 3 pairs of Asics gel Contend 7s in 10.5 XW in 2019 and needed to order some new shoes. I ordered current production 1x Gel Contend 7 and 2x Gel Venture 8s and one pair each arrived. When It tried them on the new Contend 7s were very small and the Ventures were small. Comparing directly to the older Gel Contends, the new Gel Contends were approx 5mm shorter from the back of the heel to the toe and they were about 5 mm narrower across the footbed. My toe was in direct contact with the end of the shoe with my heel fully seated. The Gel Ventures were better in the length and seemed maybe slightly shorter than the older shoe, but they were also slightly narrower and the instep height feels tighter even fairly loosely laced. I like the Asics, so I'm returning these and ordering the same shoes in 11's. But I wanted to warn anyone else looking at these that they may run much smaller than expected and compared to older versions.

Consistent shoe from year to year, easy to replace. BUT on these shoes, my toes always poke holes in the upper mesh well before the tread is shot. I wish it lasted longer.

These are good shoes for running or working out on a treadmill or elliptical machine. But they run about a half size small. I wear 11.5 (US) in all other shoes but had to get size 12 for these.

Good for the price that I paid. The major bad thing for me was the back of the shoe is so stiff it rubs the back my heel making chafe when I do cardio. Other than that one complaint I'm fairly happy with these. 7/10

The shoe size is smaller than what I’m used to on other shoes. I’ll definitely go up one size. They are a good comfortable shoe. Would recommend.
