I’ve used ASICS running shoes for years. I’ve been generally satisfied with the shoes. I’m a casual runner logging in 30 to 40 miles a month on an indoor treadmill. I have a narrow foot and wear size 11. This model which is a medium width shoe is a little snug on my foot but has loosened up after 15 miles of use. I like the sole construction verses a terrain model for use on the treadmill. I think this show would not work well for me if had a wide foot. In summary, the gel sole is good, weight is light, they are comfortable and the prices was ok.

I recently purchased my second pair of ASICS Men's Gel-Contend 7 Running Shoes, and once again, I am thoroughly impressed with their comfort and performance. The gel cushioning provides excellent support and absorbs impact, making them ideal for both running and everyday wear. ASICS has managed to create a shoe that competes with more expensive brands in terms of performance but without breaking the bank. One thing to note is that the sizing seems to be consistent with other ASICS models, so ordering your usual size should work well.

I recently purchased a pair of ASICS shoes, and I have mixed feelings about them. On the positive side, these shoes offer an incredibly comfortable fit and cushioning, which is perfect for long walks and light jogging. The softness and support in the sole make every step feel like walking on clouds. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind before buying these shoes. First, if you need significant arch support, you might find these lacking in that department. I have fallen arches, and I had to insert additional insoles to get the support I needed. So, if arch support is essential for you, be prepared to make that adjustment. Secondly, the sizing was a bit tricky for me. I usually wear a size 12-12.5, but with these ASICS shoes, I had to size up to a 13 to get the right fit. I walk a minimum of 2 miles a day on concrete in the inner city daily. I developed health issues that would often impact my knees and feet, and my doctors finally suggested trying different shoes as there was no medical evidence of anything that required an operation or physical therapy. The act of walking on concrete alone every day or standing for large periods of time never bothered me throughout my life until this past year when I hit 50 years of age. My "go-to" pairs of Nike running shoes and Hurley walking shoes were showing significant wear after three years but the typical brands I buy were not helping with the constantly present pain. I have never purchased a pair of ASICS, but after research I gave these a shot blindly. WOW! What a relief! From the minute I put them on I felt the support and they hugged my feet well. The sturdy build kept my posture straight, but I was concerned about the break in period. Other brands would fail after a day or two on foot. Not these! I walked close to seven miles the very first day with NO PAIN during or after, and that is nothing short of a miracle. I will definitely be purchasing more pairs, as any shoes I buy that work well end production within a year or so and cycle out for a newer version that are not always well made. Thanks ASICS!

These are good, affordable, overall shoes. I am about to purchase my 4th pair. I have had the gel 6 and 8, I find these to be the best bang for your buck for my feet. I am getting into marathon training (pegasus 40 and new balance 1080v13) and these still find a purpose in my rotation as a daily casual wear. I use these in the beginning for getting into shape. Casual 2-3 mile runs, around the gym, and light hiking trails (5-7miles). To be honest its my easy reach for anything aside from a 3 or more mile run. I am now about to get my fourth pair just for disney world versus using up my Pegasus 40 or nb. Tldr- these are a great value shoes. Solid shoes if you are just casually getting into shape, doing casual activities. It won’t let you down.
