I've worn Asics GT-1000 series for years, and this year I've tried a few other Asics offerings. These are great. The Gel Contend 7 was tight in the toe and caused some ankle soreness. I tried some GT-2000 9's for extra support as I recovered from an achilles tendon issue, but those were actually worse for the tendon than the Gel Contend 6's. Unless these are somehow far less durable than other Asics, these are my preferred shoe gong forward. Of course they're already discontinued, so this whole review is probably a waste of time since neither you nor I will probably be able to buy them by next month.

Great shoes and the price is right. I've been wearing Asics for a few years now and every time I order them in size 10 they always fit just like the old pair. I'm not one that cares about name brands but I do care about quality construction and Asic provides both a respected name and a quality shoe at a reasonable price. Can't beat them!

This pair of Asics is primarily a walking shoe; of course I work out in them 3 days a week. The insoles in this particular shoe are much more comfortable than the running shoe. This is my third pair and I am so happy I found this style. Really a great shoe
