I brought this to school for my class of kids with special needs, and we used it to learn about spiral symmetry in math with a hands-on art activity. They had an absolute blast! The machine was simple to use, and seems decent enough quality for what it is. To be clear, it takes 4 AA batteries; the instructions say they're AAAs, but it definitely doesn't take those. Squeeze gently, as the paint will definitely come out, and we accidentally popped the top right off of one of the bottles! It popped right back in, but definitely encourage younger kids to be extra gentle. I also *may* have forgotten to put the shield on the first time. If you aren't trying to get paint everywhere, you should probably remember that step! It's a fun time, and your hands (at minimum) will get messy, but the kids will love it. Definitely recommended.

Being that we have twin grandchildren, a boy/girl we had to have two of these of course, or we would’ve had some very big arguments over Who was first. It definitely requires adult supervision with most stages until they get older perhaps around eight they can do this without help. It works on the speed of spinning and then it has paper That you have to insert and basically they do drops of paint colors it twirls, and and the paint goes flying in different directions and then you do another color and so on till you get the look and you have these wonderful paintings. In truth, an adult could even just try it come up with some neat designs. Just make sure the children wear paint clothes, and that they stay put where they’re supposed to. It does require a little more supervision than lots of other types of Craft kits but it’s really quite fun and guess your kids and outlet from watching TV. It’s also a great craft item on a rainy day or they can’t go outside at all. All in all it’s fun, and inexpensive to do. And they have a lasting piece of art.

I'm in my 70s now, but I remember seeing spin art booths set up at county fairs and community arts and crafts shows in the 1970s. These booths are still popular today. I had never had an at-home version of Spin Art, so I was drawn to order this kit. It includes 36 pieces of pre-cut paper in various sizes, 7 paints, 2 white crayons, and 1 paintbrush. The Instructions are clear (except for saying to use "jam" paper), and the process is almost intuitive. I looked online for these specific Spin Art replacement supplies but wasn't unsuccessful. Patterns of the supplied paper can be cut from poster board, acrylic or poster paint could be used, and new plastic bottles are available if the supplied ones are too difficult to wash. This extends the life of the fun activity. I will gift this during our annual small-town Christmas toy drive and will not try the product. I'm sure this will be a Christmas morning hit, and I'll install the four AA batteries. Full Disclosure: I received this product for free from the Vine program. However, I want to emphasize that I did not receive any payment for this review.
