Came in wrapped in two bags. I noticed the powdery substance before I opened the second layer. SCARY! I soaked the vines in the tub with hot water and apple cider vinegar overnight. It came with an odor, liked something that sat up in the attic for a couple years. No foul/gross smell tho. After letting it air dry the odor is barely there and they look fine. I bought these garlands for a family member's wedding table (covid style). The product description says that they are covered in white powder. I will say there is a lot! Like someone emptied a small bag of flour. I found it helpful to carefully open the packaging in a garbage bag, and then shake out the garland over the bath tub with the shower running so that the floury powder didn't rise into the air. Just don't rinse the garland! The powder that remains on the leaves give it a very authentic eucalyptus look! Definitely air it out, and if you want to, spritz some room spray on it. For my purposes, I needed a garland that was long and full -but not too full. This worked perfectly, and I felt were a very good value for the money. I also thought they look great with twinkle lights wrapped through. Please don't let the reviews of "mysterious dust" scare you, but you should know what you're buying so you're not surprised. ... show more

These are a GREAT value for your money. I can affordably have the decor I like at my wedding - the photo I've included is a quick mockup of the tables. These are really great quality. My only comments are that these have a white powder to add a certain look, which I like, but there is SO much of it. It has a smell I don't like and the powder was getting everywhere when I opened each bag. I didn't want me or my animals breathing that in so I moved outside to finish and shook a ton of it off and let them air out a bit. I still think they are worth it, but definitely didn't enjoy dealing with that. ... show more

I purchased theses garland strands to place above my kitchen cabinets and add a little more low-maintenance greenery to my house. These are awesome! They are great natural green colors, and full enough for the space I use them. They did come with a thin white powdery coating, but that washed right off. My only issue is that there is not a longer size option, since I had to order another pack to fill the length of the cabinets, but that's only because I love the way they look that much! They also have a small hook on the end, which I snipped on the visible ends but also used to hang an extra strand as a photo framer. Super great purchase! ... show more

Just received. Just opened, and they are completely covered in white powder?! I was planning to use for a photo prop for my 6 month old twins but now I'm afraid to do anything with it, cloud of powder as soon as I open the bag, gets everywhere, smells bad. Edit: I did wash them and afterwards they are great quality so I will add 1 more star! But still highly concerned about what the white powder was. If you are going to buy this product be prepared to cover your face, open outside, you will regret it if you dont. If it weren't for the white powder I'd give this 5 stars for sure. ... show more

I'm using these to create my wedding arch and I'm honestly pretty impressed! In the picture I only used 1 strand and it did a fairly good job covering the arch. The vine itself it really easy to work with, the only issue I've had was the smell and there's a white dust on it. It has an awful smell and it's not even just a typical plastic smell. I read the reviews and decided to buy these garlands. I opened them outside and gave them a good shake off (there is white powder on them, not a big deal to me) and then immediately brought them right into my shower and rinsed them off and hung up to dry. Took care of the powder/dust problem and revealed the true green color. We used these to wrap hand rails at our venue. These worked absolutely perfect for that purpose. We used floral wire and just a bit of packing tape to secure. Worked like a charm and significantly less expensive than other garlands out there. ... show more
