I took the advice of one of the reviews that said to be sure that you cut them correctly and take your time to be sure that you use the beginning part to face you and the cut edge against the wall or corner. They do take some time to do, but very forgiving, because they are spongy and you can overcut around molding and then just tuck it in. They look awesome and I had no problem with them sticking but once I put them up, I took a towel and I made sure that I rubbed each section so that I knew that it was secured to the wall and be sure that you do clean your walls. ... show more

Let me just say that this stuff when applied properly looks GREAT. However, if you are not patient and not careful it can go horribly wrong. We used it to cover some crappy white laminate stuff we had on the walls and backsplash in our kitchen. Cons: Once it’s stuck down it’s almost impossible to remove - it’s SO sticky It’s easy to go crooked 😆 If you are sticking this down on drywall and you mess up- GOOD luck!! It’s practically disintegrates of you try to peel it up Pros: Looks Amazing! Super easy to clean! If you cut and line up on a seam you can fill the gaps with white caulking and the gaps just disappear!! I used a few smaller squeeze tubes of white caulking and wore plastic gloves. After I squirted some on the line I used a wet foam paintbrush and/or a wet sponge to smooth the caulking over the gaps. It takes the patience of a saint to cut, apply and fill the gaps but it was worth it for us! When laying down the sheets I recommend holding it up and making sure it’s perfect first. Then peel back one edge and carefully line up the sticky side. Then carefully peel the backing away from behind the sheet. You have to go slow so the backing doesn’t tear, but it’s so much easy to hold and like it up good. Good luck all you DIYers and don’t say I didn’t warn ya! ... show more

I love this product. You can be as creative as you want. I cut some of the bricks individually, some in rows of 1, 2 and 3, and i arranged some vertically and some horizontally.. i highly recommend!

Update: After a month, the bricks are peeling off the walls :( we stick it back on by pressing firmly, but they are still not staying. We will need to look into some stronger glue and maybe try spreading it behind the edging. I loved how these look but all my hard work stretching and lining up pieces has been a waste because so many are popping off. We have a semi gloss coat of paint so perhaps if it were flat it would have stuck better. ——- Initial Review: This sat in my amazon cart for months as I was worried it would look tackier and not work out and was pricier than I wanted it to be, however the time came to at least try and return if unhappy. I initially taped them to the wall to see if I would like it, however since none of the bricks lined up I still couldn’t get a good idea how it would look. Decided to just dive into one of the packages and cut the interlocking brick parts (as described in the directions) and started my work. I was worried the adhesive would make it impossible to fix mistakes, however, our wall has a new coat of semi gloss paint so I could actually pull off the tiles and adjust to perfection. The adhesive does stick to your fingers though so it is very sticky. I recommend when cutting out the brick, to cut directly in the middle of the “molding” cause I kept cutting it to give it the most molding and the overlaps made it look less realistic which resulted in further cutting and more wasted time. I finally just cut in the middle and they lined up much better. Also, if you remove the backing and then need to cut to make corrections, I recommend that you put the backing back on the brick panel and then cut again cause otherwise the adhesive ruins the scissors and makes the process so much longer. I was able to stretch the tiles slightly as needed so there is flexibility for minor mistakes and adjustments. I bought 3 boxes and have 2 panels leftover. The wall is fairly big and it took me 7 hours to do by myself. I’m also 5 months pregnant so I took my time up and down that ladder. The time consuming part were the specific cut outs for what was on our wall and fitting behind the pipes. Cutting each panel to interlock the pieces made my wrist sore and I do wish they had been delivered precut (which does make taking the backing harder to take off since its not one clean rectangle to pull off.) I notice that in the reviews, the walls that don’t look as great are the ones where people did not take the time to cut the pieces to interlock so you can see the lines of the individual panels. Probably saves a ton of time but a lot less realistic so I suggest taking the time to do it. All in all, if you have the patience, time and energy, I highly recommend this product because our garage looks so much better now. I applied this by myself. It would be much easier with 2 people. Take your time (slooowly) removing the paper backing to try to prevent tearing. I didn't do any cutouts. The purpose was to insulate north facing walls that get very cold in winter and hot in summer. It's doing the job. Be prepared to get adhesive on your fingers no matter how careful you are. I am currently writing this review as I frantically scrub my wall with every cleaning product under the sun trying to get rid of the residue that this product leaves behind. There's a LOT of it. While this is easy to install and looks decent, taking it off is an absolute nightmare. No matter how you peel the panels off, foamy, sticky residue will remain. It's just a fact. There is so, so, much residue on my wall and I've been trying to scrub it off for the last two hours—I've tried a metal scraper, my fingers, credit cards, etc. I've used vinegar, alcohol, surface cleaner, wall cleaner, and every other product I have in my home. I made a trip to my local hardware store just to get some Goo Gone, which seems to be the only product that even moderately works on the residue. I've gone through almost a whole bottle of the stuff and I'm not even halfway done—even with the Goo Gone, I have to scrub the walls extremely vigorously. Please save yourself and don't purchase this product. It's absolutely not worth it, it doesn't even look that good when it's applied to the walls correctly. ... show more
