When I first bought this I was incredibly skeptical because Usually armor buying on Amazon is a little sketch with stuff that's actually historically accurate since so many sellers have misleading photos. The breastplate itself is well shaped usually when people buy breastplates like the side profile of the plate is very flat but historical breastplates were rounder in shape which this did well, it wasn't super dramatic but it was shaped well enough. It stopped at the natural waistline as breastplates should so waist mobility is quite forgiving other than super awkward positions of course. The stop rib works way better than you would think and it has probably saved me from injury more times than I like to admit. The breastplate fit me pretty well but was a pretty loose without a gambeson but I'm also pretty skinny so do with that information as you will. But overall I would highly recommend getting this breastplate it's perfect for any 14th century or early 14th century kit or whatever I threw together in my images lol, I'm aware my helmet does not fit this outfit whatsoever. ... show more
