  • Great Family Fun
Style: Battery Operated
Got these for a Christmas present for the kids. Each box comes with 4 guns and 4 chest sensor plates. The colors are red, blue, orange, and yellow. Eash gun uses 3 AAA batteries and each chest sensor uses 3 AAA batteries. Make sure to buy them in bulk. The set is cool with many options. Each gun/chest plate can change to any of the 4 team colors. The funs can change from pistol, shotgun, machine gun, and rocket launcher. The guns also have a light for playing at night and enable the receiver on the guns to if you don't want use tje chest plates. The sets are well packaged, each gun and plate wraped in plastic. A nice perk is you can actually put them all back in the box. Game play is great. Used them at night and was a ton of fun. Once the llayer loses three bars, the plate says game over and flashes, the guns cant shoot. Nut a player can reset their chest plate and shoot again. As long as people are honest, it's all good. The chest plates come with straps to put on and keep thwm on place. They feel solid and LEDs are bright. The guns just the same, feel good of quality, easy setting, and easy to use. We had age ranging? from 9 to adults and everyone had fun. Not sure howomg the batteries will last but looking to have fun until they drain. ... show more

  • Bring Laser Tag To Your Own Home
Style: Battery Operated
I purchased these as a family gift for Christmas, since over the summer we played laser tag at a pro place while on vacation and the kids loved it. The set does use a lot of batteries, but it's far cheaper than the rechargeable option, and I could see problems with one or two of the units running out of charge during a session, so I went with batteries that can be quickly replaced. Overall these things are a lot of fun! The sensors seem to be fairly accurate, and I agree with those that have said turning off the 'hit' sensor on the gun makes the game a little easier for little ones. That said, with a few basic 'house rules' this set is perfect for a 4 person battle, either teams or free for all! When guns and sensors are set to the same team color (red, green, blue, orange) the gun will not register a hit on the same color, making teams easy to set up. We had to make a rule that the sensors couldn't be turned off or changed from teams (since it's a button press) during a battle, because my son figured out he could switch his, shoot me while I couldn't register a hit on him, and then flip it back. That said, with a few good honor system house rules we had a lot of fun playing this a few times already in the house. Last night the kids teamed up against me and tried to take me on with all the lights out and it was a LOT like a real laser tag arena (with the added bonus of a cat and two dogs 'playing' too). This was a great purchase and I'd recommend it for any family who wants some rainy day fun at home and isn't afraid to have a little running/bumping/jumping going on inside, or any family who has some good space outside with lots of hiding places! ... show more

  • Guns and Vests Don't Sync
Style: Battery Operated
I have a family of seven, so we splurged for xmas and bought two sets of four gun/vest combos. The products are well made, and easy to use. My family spent a couple of hours running through our house staying active and competitive with out the clean up associated with other type games (looking at you, nerf.) Our biggest complaint, and the cause of most of our fights during play, is the vest and gun do not sync together. You can shoot a player's gun or his/her vest. But we ran into constant issues where a players vest would be "dead" and they would continue shooting, or they would have remaining lives on their vest, but their gun would shut down indicating the player is eliminated. Eventually we were forced to turn the receivers off on the guns and only count hits to the vest, but that resulted in a match where everyone hid their chests from view and stuck guns around corners, spraying the room until someone slipped up and exposed the chest sensor to a hit. These are enjoyable products, and we cannot wait to try them outside in the woods behind our house when weather allows. But I would have stated unequivocally that these are worth the money had this one major oversight been corrected prior to sale. As they stand, I can only deliver four out of the five possible stars. ... show more
