So far they are Perfect. I've had them for a few months and worn about a dozen times. Still a little on the stiff side but that will ease up in time. One of the best purchases I've made in a long time. If you need a good pair of well made boots, perhaps you'd like to try these. I have zero complaints and I'm super fussy. Normally a 7.5 medium but I have a high instep (top of your foot) and a narrow heel, so quite often I cannot get my foot into even the most basic of shoes and when I do my heel slips out, lol - yah I know, life is tough...these Ariat boots fit me really well though. Worn with your average thickness of socks (not thin little girl socks...real socks made to be worn with shoes) - They are not too tight and they don't pinch me anywhere. Because I have a narrow heel I might consider one of those heel gripper thingy's, but overall these fit really well currently with minimal heel slippage. It kind of feels like the more I wear them the less it is noticeable, so perhaps the leather (as others have noted) is actually conforming to my foot. I don't really know, but I love them. They are comfortable and don't bother me at all. 5-stars ... show more

I'm a real estate agent in Montana and I go from hiking the woods and fields into multi-million-dollar homes, and I needed boots that could do it all. I bought these a couple of months ago, and they are my new favorites for nearly every day. They're not going to be warm enough for the middle of winter, but they're fantastic for summer/fall, and presumably the spring as well. With great traction, I suspect I'll be wearing them through much of the winter too as long as the snow isn't too deep. They look great, and they fit perfectly in my standard Ariat size 7.5. I can walk all day and never even think about my feet. Some of my Ariat cowboy boots have been on the tight side, but not these; they're wonderful! ... show more

I’ve had my eyes on these. Especially intrigued by a photo of the sueded finish where the boots looked worn and beat to death, and I liked the look very much. So, I picked up a sued, or returned pair here, marked very good condition (I wish Amazon would elaborate more on the items opened), it stated there was a significant mark on the inside of the boot. The price was not just $20 off, I paid just over $100. I took a chance. Boom, now I see what the hype is all about, they feel great, they’re rugged and put together well. Waterproof besides, they’ll be perfect for winter, slip easily into comfort and no maintenance needed. Just plug n go. Oh, btw, I wear sizes 8 8 1/2, with somewhat narrow width. I like extra room in toe box. These boots appear to be about the same width as my women’s timberlands but much more comfortable. The timbs are crappy footbed and hurt my toes and I probably could have done 8 1/2 in them better. I got size 8, and no toes rub and can put a decent sock on.
