  • Perfect Length, Real Denim, Thoughtful Fit — A Tall Woman’s Dream
Size: 30 Long Color: Rainstorm
As a tall woman with most of my height in my legs, finding bottoms that actually fit has been a lifelong scavenger hunt. Even when I manage to find a style I like in a length that works, the same tragedy always strikes after a few months of washing: they creep up my ankles and become unwearable. I never get to keep a pair long enough to earn that lived‑in, personalized denim look. So, imagine the cartwheels I did when I saw Ariat offering not just a LONG with a 35" inseam, but an EXTRA LONG with a 37‑inch inseam for the women I look up to. I’m not exaggerating when I say I had tears in my eyes. Fit Notes for Anyone New to Ariat Ariat’s mid‑rise is a little different from typical fashion denim. It sits slightly lower in the front and higher in the back, and I think this serves a dual purpose. The lower front gives room for a belt buckle — these are, after all, working jeans designed with real cowgirls in mind. Meanwhile, the higher rise in the back keeps things modest when you’re seated and lets the back of the belt rest at the top of the hip bones. It’s a thoughtful, functional shape that still looks flattering in everyday wear. The listing notes a “slim fit through the thigh,” and that’s accurate — but it’s a Western slim, not a fashion slim. There’s enough room to move, bend, and work without losing the clean, straight silhouette. Fabric, Weight & Cut Details The fabric is a 92% cotton, 6% polyester, 2% spandex blend, which gives these jeans real stretch while keeping shrinkage to a minimum. The denim itself is heavier than most fashion jeans today — a true, traditional weave that feels durable and authentic, not flimsy or overly stretchy. A few reviewers questioned whether these are truly straight‑leg, so I checked mine: when I fold the hem up to mid‑thigh, the width is identical. They’re absolutely straight‑leg. Value Given the material blend, the heavier traditional denim, the thoughtful construction, and the rare range of inseam options (including the unicorn‑level 37"), the price just under $80 feels like a steal. These wear like premium jeans — durable, authentic, and built for real use — without the premium price tag. The only thing that would make them even better is if they were actually made in the USA, but at this point I might be asking for too much. ... show more

  • Quality comfortable Real Jeans LOVE!
Size: 27 Long Color: Rainstorm
I am 5’7” 130lbs I got the 27 Long These jeans are perfect! They fit like a glove and the material is genuine Jean material with a comfortable stretch to them. I could have got away with Regular length but I was afraid of them being too short. These are definitely long and they did not shrink or lose their integrity when I washed them. They are mid-rise just right. The back is higher than the front which I love. The pockets are just right and lay nicely inside the jean. The zipper is great. The crotch length is perfect . They are soo comfortable They look quality and not cheap at all. Well worth the price. I would like to add if you are 5’7” like me the regular length is what you want unless you have long legs or wearing a heel shoe. ... show more

  • For the win—flattering, durable, and wife-approved
Size: 28 Color: Rainstorm
Picked these up for my wife, and she’s officially converted. The mid-rise fit is spot-on—no gapping at the waist, no sagging in the seat, and the stretch denim moves with her, not against her. She wears them for everything from errands to evenings out, and they hold their shape beautifully. The stackable straight leg fits perfectly over boots, and the contrast stitching adds just enough flair without being flashy. She loves the way they hug her curves without feeling tight, and I love that she’s comfortable and confident in them. If you’re looking for jeans that balance style, durability, and real-world comfort, these are a solid choice. Bonus: she asked me to order a second pair, so I guess that’s the ultimate endorsement. ... show more

  • Good quality, great fit
Size: 28 Short Color: Rainstorm
After searching the internet to find a high quality pair of jeans that fit will, I finally found these. Started with the boot cut which ended up being a little ridiculous because they are more like bell bottoms and the length is just silly long. Tried these and they are more like the boot cut I was looking for (in a straight leg jean) and the length was actually reasonable. I purchased a 28 short and am 5’5”, 130# and these are a good length. I also have a biker’s butt and thighs with a narrow waist which is hard to fit into a pair of jeans without the bunching in the waist. These fit a curvy figure well. The quality of the straight leg is also better than the boot cut. Although to be honest, it’s good for those too, but the straight leg denim is thicker and stands up to everything I put them through. I now have a closet full of these jeans which is a wee bit silly. Because it looks like I’m wearing the same pair of embroidered jeans everyday and never do laundry. But when you find the right pair that fits, lasts up to daily wear and tear, and launders well, you don’t care what people think. For the record, I air dry these so they don’t shrink too much. The first pair were slightly tight after drying. No problem with air drying. ... show more

  • 28 Short - W30 x L31.5. Heavier weight denim. Look like boot cut jeans.
Size: 28 Short Color: Rainstorm
I purchased Rainstorm in size 28 Short. Approximate measurements laying flat: Waist 15" Rise 8" Inseam 31.5" Thigh 8.5" Cuff 8" I wear a comfortable size 6 regular in American Eagle jeans and the 28 short in these are a great fit in both the waist and length. Like other reviewers mentioned, these might be advertised as straight leg but I'd definitely consider them closer to a boot cut. They easily fit over cowboy boots. Denim is a heavier weight than the typical stretch denim. Overall I'm happy with the fit and quality and would recommend, just keep in mind, the inseam does appear to run slightly longer than average. **UPDATE: I washed in cold and hot dryer. The dryer was my mistake, I forgot these have a higher cotton count and just threw them in with everything else. They were a little snug in the waist but that stretched out with wear. However, the inseam shrunk just over half an inch. ***I purchased a second pair of the exact same jeans but these were nearly an inch shorter, inseam just over 30.5". They were already borderline too short and if I accidentally put them in the dryer they would be unwearable. They were also slighly larger in the waist. I'm disappointed in the lack of consistency and returned them. ... show more

  • Built for Tall Girls
Size: 28 Extra Long Color: Ocean
I ordered the 28XL. I’m 5’11” 145, with proportionally longer legs than torso. Long jeans are always too short no matter where I buy them from. This is my second pair of X-long Ariat jeans (the other pair is boot cut) and I love them. If anything they are actually a little bit too long but I’ll take that over the Longs that are too short. For the first time ever I can throw my jeans in the dryer. These jeans came with no issues and look great on. A lot of reviews said they are great for curvy girls. Well I am definitely not curvy and Ariat jeans fit great, so tall slim girls these are for you too. The 28” waist is slightly too bit, unfortunately, Ariat doesn’t sell the 27s in X-long. With a run through the dryer and a belt the 28s are working out just fine. For someone who needs the length these jeans are worth every penny and are great quality. ... show more

  • Nice heavier jeans that fit...finally!
Size: 34 Color: Rainstorm
My first Ariat jeans. Sent the boot cut back, which I normally love and wear in other brands, but the leg was too wide. The denim seems to be heavier and thicker somewhat than typical fashion jeans, which is GREAT and hard to find. The cut of the legs fit my upper thighs better for movement - meaning, the jeans don't tend to slide down as I walk. I like the no-gap lined waistband, the super deep pockets, even the coin pocket is deep and the back pockets are deep and wide enough to fit my nearly 6" cell phone with Otterbox. I love that the front pockets are sewn into the zipper, adding extra support and fit. Most jeans nowadays do not have that feature. The extra stitching on the outer thigh is great! My Levi's all eventually puckered at that spot, making them embarrassing to wear out. Being a more mature shaped woman over 50, these actually fit well in the right areas. Extra belt loops are really nice too, and keeps my belt from migrating. The only thing I would change is to offer Short in size 34. The regulars are too long, I wear them cuffed. I usually wear 31" inseams, and these are 33" I believe. I do wear street shoes/sneakers in them, not cowboy boots. The 92% cotton holds the cuff better than the 82% cotton. Also, PLEASE PLEASE offer a few color choices non-sanded/altered. Can I just have jeans that are all one color?? I've never been a fan of these sanded/altered/whatever else they do to jeans nowadays, not complimentary on me. The sanding on these jeans makes them feel somewhat rough on top of the thighs, but I kept them because of all the other good things and they fit me better than most anything else without having too much spandex. ... show more
