I am 5'11", 143 - 150 lbs (depending on the week), size 8. In shape, but not as good of shape as i'd like. I'm actually 5 feet 11 and a half inches. I got the size 29 waist, extra long, mid-rise, boot-cut Ariat Jeans, I think, the whipstitch, not sure. With vans shoes, they drag on the ground, and I roll them up to not ruin the bottom of the legs. In my workman's square-toed country boots, they barely don't drag on the floor. The extra long is perfect for my height. Why should short girls be the only ones who get to have jeans that touch the floor? They seem like they're 37" inseams. Also, I usually get Alloy Apparel jeans (because they cater to tall girls), but I took a chance and got these Ariats for the first time. I didn't even know Ariats sold extra long jeans. They far exceed in quality. The jean material is nice and sturdy. Reminds me of the days back in the 80's & 90's when jeans were thicker, and didn't feel so thin and stretchy. These Ariat jeans do have a little stretch, but it's not ridiculous. It's the perfect percentage of stretch. The mid-rise are not as high as I thought they would be, considering all I've bought for the last decade is low-rise. I now love mid-rise. It's not mom-pants high-waist, but not so low you show crack every time you bend over a little. I never need a belt to keep the jeans from sliding down too low when I bend over. It's really very flattering on the female figure. These jeans are extremely flattering. Best looking jeans I've ever had. I bought three pairs of new jeans recently, now that I'm getting back to my pre-baby size: Alloy, Ariat, and Maurice's. All boot-cut. Ariat's win. They are the best quality, best cut, best material, best design. They are the best. Now I want to buy more Ariats, because I find myself wearing the Ariats over and over, and only putting on the other guys when I don't have time to wash the Ariats. ... show more

My daughter's FAVORITE jeans! I purchased these jeans in October of 2024, and the jeans fit like a glove. There is a small hole forming where the pocket is attached, but we are going to have them repaired.

I've been searching for new jeans ever since Gap discontinued their 1969 denim line. These have been great! They are thick enough to be durable but also have stretch in them I am 5'5" and 125 with an athletic build and I can wear either the 26S or the 27S. The only issue with the jeans is the sizing seems to be inconsistent with color. I bought 4 pairs in different colors each of them fit differently, hence needing to go between the 26 and the 27. After previously purchasing this same style in 27 Regular -- which was way, way too long -- I ordered the same size in Short. The shorter length was great, but I could not even button the waist! I was really surprised because the 27 Regular size was actually a bit loose. It seems to me the two pairs should have fit me the same except for the length.     • thicker denim, but not the thickest
A bit disappointed. It's really hard to find good quality, thick denim these days. In the small town where I live now, there is only one style of one brand (Wrangler) of women's jeans that both fit me and have denim thick enough to stand up to farm work (come to think of it, I don't think any of the other jeans have anything close to thick denim). I see plenty of reviewers commenting that this is good quality, thick denim - and I agree it's better than most of what is sold these days - but in my opinion "thick" denim is just not what it used to be. I guess I'm getting a little old. Ha. Nonetheless, given my limited jeans options, I think I'll keep them and see how they do. Fit is pretty good - I'm 5'6," 105 lbs, usually wear about 4 if a little big on me - bought 26R in these and fit is totally acceptable. Could probably stand a 25 (and have a pair coming so we'll see). Tip for other prospective buyers: I think the trick here is to go by hip measurement, rather than waist - my waist is actually 28" at it's smallest point, but my hips are only 34.5" at their largest point (though I don't think I'd attempt 0 US/24 which lists 34.5" for hips). Use the size chart! (Conversion from US sizes seems to work too.) Inseam is a bit long (I'm 5'6", usually 32" is about as long as I can go, these regulars are listed at 33," I measured them at 33 1/4") - on me they drag on the ground in stocking feet and are close to dragging in my boots. My bad - I should've checked Ariat's listed inseam lengths. I agree with other reviewers that the boot cut is a bit wide - I wouldn't go so far as to call it a flared bottom, but wider than I'd like. ... show more

My favorite jeans … fit me well, the boot cut balances the look of my hips and elongates my 5’6” frame, and the length is perfect for my boots and thicker-soled Doc Martens. Mid rise is nice for those of us who don’t want to show our ass, but hate the high rise “Mom jeans” revival. Comfortable for all day wear in town shopping, and also on the ranch doing chores. Durable, mid-weight denim. Best thing about these jeans is their REAL POCKETS! I hate women’s jeans with shallow pockets that can’t fit your entire hand … these jeans have truly useful, deep front pockets. ... show more
