    • Great for riding, working, or just looking good
I wear these for ranch/barn work, I ride in them, and I wear them casually around town. They're great jeans for all three purposes and manage to look great while standing up to actual work. When you move, these jeans move with you no matter what you do. They're high enough in the back to provide plenty of coverage while riding or squatting down to grab something off the ground, but they're a low enough rise to still look good (assuming you like a lower rise, which I do). The problem I normally have with jeans is that the waist is too big, while the thighs and hips may be too small. For reference, I'm 5'9" 130lb and have a 24 inch waist, 34 inch hips, and usually wear a size 2 or 0 in regular pants and a 26-28 in breeches. I ordered these jeans in a 27. They work great with my body shape, like they were made for me. If you're thinner but curvy and have trouble finding jeans that fit your body shape, you might want to at least give these a try. They're also comfortable, flattering, and, at least so far, they don't stretch out or get baggy with use (how often can you say that about a pair of jeans?). As far as riding goes, I have ridden in them and had no problem, but I mostly like them for trail rides. For that, they're perfect. As for color, the Eclipse color is great. I thought I might not like the white contrast stitching, but to my surprise it ends up looking very nice. I bought my first pair elsewhere a few months ago and then when I saw them go on sale on Amazon, I bought another two pair of the Eclipse and a pair in Spitfire. Can't go wrong with Ariats. Fits my butt and legs comfortably. Not too much stretch but accurate in size. Flattering as can be. Material is strong.

Purchased 29S spitfire, turned out to be the perfect fit except the "short" length isn't actually short enough but oh well. That's why I knocked off 1 star from my rating. I normally wear an 8-10 in pants, 10 these days so the Ariat size chart is spot on. I have thick muscled thighs and a little curve going on with moderate booty and these look good on me. Can't imagine they'd look good on someone without any hip or butt though. POCKETS! Let me tell you, these have actual pockets that I can fit something in, not like some girl jeans that pretend to have pockets but good luck even getting your spare change to stay in them. These pockets can reasonably hold my smart phone, hurrah! Let's see, the mid rise originally had me worried because I'm accustomed to low rise but the waistband is really comfortable and of course I wear multiple times between washing so they stretch a little but not as much as my old jeans with higher spandex %. The fit in the thighs is actually comfortable - I've never had a pair of jeans that weren't skin tight on my big thighs until these! They are fitted, not loose, but finally a pair of jeans where I don't feel like I'm stretching them out to their limits just by virtue of pulling them up over my thighs. Plus the higher in the back waist is just to die for, I hate flashing my buttcrack if I bend over (that's something only a kid should get away with, if then) but these jeans take care of that and protect me. These are a pretty average boot cut... I'm not sure why other reviewers have said they're bell bottoms or flare because they're not. Due to the length (I have very short legs), I still have to cuff my jeans at the bottom but at least then I'm not stepping on the hem of my brand new jeans. Did find after the first wash a surprising amount of pocket lint in the back pockets, maybe it's just excess string from the pattern embroidered on the pockets, lol. So far so good, I can't speak to how long they'll last (seem like good quality so not anticipating issues) but starting out I am so happy that I took the chance ordering pants on Amazon!!! I hate buying jeans. I don’t like jeggings or stretchy jeans. I like a good old fashioned pair of REAL jeans. Look no further ladies. These fit so nice and super flattering. They are a tad long. I’m 5’6” and the regular length is still about an inch too long but great if wearing boots. Hugs your hips/thighs without squeezing your waist. Roomy for athletic legs. I loved them so much I just ordered another pair. Expensive? Yes, but think about all the $30 jeans in your closet that you don’t wear. Much rather have 2 pairs I love and toss the rest. I ordered the 31 size. I could have gotten a 30 and it would still fit good, but I like a little room to move. ... show more

Really liked the jeans, but size has to be off. I ordered a 34long and I could get pretty much both legs in one. I wanted to exchange but the Prime saled ended and the regular price went back up. Disappointed 😞

Finally gave up on trying to find the perfect pair of jeans for less than $45 and I don't too feel bad about it. These are great jeans. I usually wear a junior size 1 but my pants have been feeling a little snug so Im probably between 1 and a slightly loose 3. Im 5'5" (muscular built36x27x38)@135lbs. I ordered the 27R and was relieved to find these not only fit right but look GREAT as well. I especially appreciate the quality of the denim. Its a "thicker" heavy cotton kind of denim not that cheap thin stretchy stuff. I also really love the lil extra length compared to most jeans I've tried. Im not exactly "Long" but for some reason I struggle to find jeans that fit up top and simultaneously have adequate length and flare to look good over a healed or heavy duty sole boot. Overall, I am incredibly satisfied and will most likely purchase another pair before I go through my drawer and start tossing out some of my uncomfortable fitting jeans that don't work with my country girl boots. If you're shorter than 5'5" OR 5'4"- 5'7" and mostly wear low profile shoes like sneakers then you may want to consider your size in the "short" as the 27R might be a tad bit long and get caught under the heals of your shoes. ... show more
