    • Great for riding, working, or just looking good
I wear these for ranch/barn work, I ride in them, and I wear them casually around town. They're great jeans for all three purposes and manage to look great while standing up to actual work. When you move, these jeans move with you no matter what you do. They're high enough in the back to provide plenty of coverage while riding or squatting down to grab something off the ground, but they're a low enough rise to still look good (assuming you like a lower rise, which I do). The problem I normally have with jeans is that the waist is too big, while the thighs and hips may be too small. For reference, I'm 5'9" 130lb and have a 24 inch waist, 34 inch hips, and usually wear a size 2 or 0 in regular pants and a 26-28 in breeches. I ordered these jeans in a 27. They work great with my body shape, like they were made for me. If you're thinner but curvy and have trouble finding jeans that fit your body shape, you might want to at least give these a try. They're also comfortable, flattering, and, at least so far, they don't stretch out or get baggy with use (how often can you say that about a pair of jeans?). As far as riding goes, I have ridden in them and had no problem, but I mostly like them for trail rides. For that, they're perfect. As for color, the Eclipse color is great. I thought I might not like the white contrast stitching, but to my surprise it ends up looking very nice. I bought my first pair elsewhere a few months ago and then when I saw them go on sale on Amazon, I bought another two pair of the Eclipse and a pair in Spitfire. Love these jeans … I ordered both the short and regular version of the Lakeshore style .. and even the short version is on the longer side .. I’m almost 5’5” and the short style is still long enough that I have to wear them with a heel of some kind, either a boot, wedge or high heel. They have a good amount of stretch and the boot cut is very cute. It’s a bit higher than low rise so closer to a mid rise but I still like it .. the wash is nice … a bit on the lighter side up by the waist over all a very cute pair of jeans. I ordered a 31 waist and it fits nicely.. I’m keeping the “short” style and returning the “regular” size as they are just too long! I recommend them… ... show more

    • Great jeans but Size Down and not what I would call low rise

I buy low rise not show off my belly button but because a have a naturally low waist and that’s normally what will hit me at or just below my belly button. This are still above my belly button. Also they do stretch… a lot while wearing them. When you put them on make sure that are snug. And then they relax during the day. Even the short inseam is longer than expected and rather than stacking on the heel of my boot so they don’t drag they still touch the floor with my boots on. Hard for me to find jeans that I like as I am very tall and athletic built. Also, the quality of jeans in general for someone my size is another issue I have a lot of problems with. The stretchy fabric of most jeans does not hold up against hard work and I usually would go through jeans once a month! These jeans have a happy medium of a little give and stretch without sacrificing too much of the quality and durability that I am really looking for in jeans. I’m 5’7”, 190 lbs. Bought 32 (size 14). I’ve worn 33 usually, but have been working out, so firmed up a bit even though I haven’t really lost weight. So I went down to size 32. These jeans fit so great, they are a little stretchy but mostly cotton. I only wear Ariat!
