I bought these primarily because they would arrive in time for a last minute trip and I needed dark Jeans. My expectations were low. They didn't look like skinny jeans and the color matched was my main objectives. I wasn't happy about the idea of stretchy material. Well I think they're my new favorites!! The material is very nice and the lil stretch allowed me to wear them all day without a belt.... I hate belts. The relaxed fit went over my shoes without strangling my calfs and ankles instead. Our grandson has worn these jeans for years. We bought him 3 pairs and all 3 of them have ripped out in the crotch. These have always been high quality but the fact that all 3 pairs tore and not on the seam means the quality of the material was poor. We want to send them back and get a full refund.

The fit of these jeans from the knees up is great. I love the stretch and waist fit. I'm a 44/30. The leg from the knee down is pert near a bell bottom or flare leg if you're old enough to remember that. It's just too big and the legs don't sit good on the boot. Ariat should find a width that's smaller than this but maybe a tad bigger than straight leg. Yes I have big calves bit this is too much. Had to send them back. ... show more
