After breaking my ankle last year, I have struggled to find shoes that fit and have the correct support. After several failed attempts, I found these shoes. They are wide enough to accommodate my larger healing foot, but also have some adjustability to tighten enough on my other foot. The shoe laces have some stretch to them, so I am able to put them on and slip them off without untying. I find that they offer enough arch support that the ligaments in my ankle have not been inflamed while wearing them. I ended up needing a men's wide, since the women's were too narrow. I have been able to get my foot into them without trouble also. Some of the other deck/boat type shoes and nurse shoes I tried had too small of an opening to get my foot into. The sole is firm enough to provide stability, with a slight curve that allows an easy gate (step). They are also lightweight. The insole and sole are holding up well so far. I like the pattern choices. The ones I got are canvas and are holding up well so far. I would like to see options made of leather also. ... show more

The most comfortable shoes in the history of shoes. Light as a feather, good arch support, perfect cushioning -- not squishy, just right. I imagine they won't last more than a season -- they are lightly built and I wear them often. So I now have two pair and am lurking for a good deal on a third.
