Received a candle in this fragrance several years ago & just loved it . I have this diffuser in my hallway ~ it is not overpowering but certainly noticeable in a soft , comforting way . I love it !

This is hard to do with one set of ratings stars. The product received is "Bergamot Tobacco" which has a fragrance that is very agreeable, especially to this writer. I'll leave to others more capable of wordsmithing the variety of aromas a more satifying expository. I'll rate the oil as 5-stars. Here comes the problem: the packaging. The packaging is very attractive but I find a major flaw, at least it will be in my household and especially with my absent-mindedness. Specifically the very useful and decorative sleave through which the reeds (supplied) passes through, sits on the container. It does not screw on. So, here's the problem. If I forget and lift from the top, over it may go. To correct this problem, I have applied tape, not an elegant solutionl at all. The packaging gets 1-star. A simple fix: simply thread the pass through part of the container. Problem will be eliminated. So in summary I have rated 4-stars. I simply couldn't knock down the overall value and effectiveness of this product because of this small problem. Perhaps in less clumsy hands and in more refined households where this container will not move and the reeds won't be turned over, this will not be a problem. ... show more

I am very familiar with what this scent should be. The one I received was rancid. The Manufactures response was ,"Talk to Amazon" I provided Amazon with the correspondence that ensued. I used to like this so much that I always had a back up to use. The scent should be woodsy and musky and clean. Since it comes tightly closed there is no way, until you open it to know if it has gone bad. This was truly rancid. I was willing to exchange for a new one since I am fairly sure this was a fluke. I LOVE this diffuser. I bought my first one in a high end department store years ago (it is still working with about 1/4 of the liquid left!). This makes the steeper price worth it to me. The scent is subtle but I can still make out the scent every time I walk in the room. It is a lovely, clean scent that lasts for years. Other diffusers I've used are dried up in a couple of months so the price is definitely worth it. ... show more

Being a "natural" or "organic" person, I am very sensitive to chemicals in products. The formula in these has definitely changed. They're not as pure as they used to be, much more watery looking than the older versions, but they don't irritate my nose, so I still love them. I don't know how to describe the scent, but this is my favorite. It's not masculine, not girly, just a nice, light scent. If you're used to strong perfumes, you probably won't be able to smell this; I'd recommend trying Nest or Oojra instead. ... show more
