Dragon Shield Sleeves are the current standard for protecting your Magic: The Gathering (and other) cards, so you probably already know that these are good quality card sleeves. I have double-sleeved a 100 card Commander deck with these sleeves without issue. They look and feel great. In these pictures, I took some care in getting a closer-to-accurate representation of the color of these sleeves, which I believe to be better looking than they appear in the official product image. (Results may vary - these look very accurate on my phone but too yellow on my PC monitor) They're not extremely "gold" (which I would imagine to be more yellow). They're closer to a polished bronze color - sort of yellow-brown with a metallic-like luster. Overall, these are attractive, high quality protective sleeves for your cards. ... show more

    • Some of the Best Sleeves Out There!

These sleeves are thick, but durable. I’ve always used the Ultra Pro Eclipses, but wanted to sleeve up a new Magic deck in some Gold sleeves. This gave me a chance to try these Mattes out. And I love them! Shuffle feel isn’t as good as the Eclipses but there’s a sturdy tightness to the sleeve that makes me have confidence in the sleeve. There are transparency issues with these though. If your sleeves are not dark they can be see through and not tournament legal. That being said, I do more causal play, and these work for me. If you want to invest in a lighter color, I would also suggest investing in some KMC perfect blacks for full opacity when playing (and double sleeving provides extra protection anyways) to keep these legal. All that said, I think these sleeves are up there with Ultra Pro Eclipses! A good choice for some card protection! ... show more

Got these for my Lorcana deck They fit my cards perfectly and make some of my cards look really nice The only reason I knocked off a star is because they feel kind of slippery, which is good when shuffling but also easy to knock around the playmat when you're not supposed to Still recommended

Just forewarning anyone who sees these and thinks they are going to get some bright shiny, jewelry gold kind of color for their sleeves. These are a darker color, but still fair to call them gold. Personally, I'm glad they were darker, cause the silver ones I got from DS were VERY silver. Like if they weren't matte, they'd be perfect little pocket mirrors. If you're looking for gold but don't want to look like you covered your sleeves with some gold leaf, then give these a spin. Photo for reference is the sleeve up against a pristine white and classic mustard yellow deck boxes under an incandescent light.
