  • Bang for the buck, quality, sound, as good as brands like meinl and zildjian
Size: 14"16"18"20" Color: Silver
The media could not be loaded. I've played with a lot of cymbals. Some have cost me thousands of dollars, but I have to say that these Mute Quiet Symbols are some of the best I've ever used. First of all, they are incredibly quiet. I can play them in my home without disturbing my neighbors, which is a huge plus. But even though they are quiet, they still sound great. They have a nice, clear tone that is perfect for practice or recording. I'm also impressed with how well they play. They feel very responsive and natural under the sticks. I've actually found that I prefer them to some of my more expensive cymbals. Overall, I am extremely happy with the mosico Mute Quiet Symbols. They are a great value for the price, and I would highly recommend them to any drummer. Here are some of the key features that I love about these cymbals: * They are incredibly quiet. * They sound great. * They play well. * They are a great value for the price. If you are looking for a set of quiet cymbals that sound great and play well, then I highly recommend these Mute Quiet Symbols. You won't be disappointed. ... show more

  • Best value in cymbals period.
Size: 14"16"18"20" Color: Silver
I have been playing drums for almost 25 years. 20 of those years I have owned and played mainly high end zildjian and paiste cymbals. I set up my drums after moving and needed a quiet way to practice whenever I want so I got these because I have played the zildjian l80s in person and wasn’t impressed for how much they cost. For what these cost, they are an incredible value. The hats are acceptable, and could double for individual small crashes if you got another set. The ride and the crashes both sound fantastic. The ride has good definition, but also has a good amount of wash to it if driven hard. The crashes have great dimension and shimmer and sound like alloy cymbals it’s crazy. They probably are a little louder than the big name low volume cymbals. But to have a complete set of cymbals for less than the cost of one of the name brand? It’s a no brainer. It’s for practice anyway and these are definitely quiet enough. You can bang on them without hearing protection no problem. I got the regular silver pack. They look great and sound great. Even if these weren’t meant for practice they sound great and could be used for recording or for triggered kits. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Almost Perfect
Size: 14"16"18"20" Color: Silver
Love these for practice. And probably could use them to gig or studio in certain situations such as small spaces or as FX cymbals. At least 50% reduction in volume. The crashes especially sound great. The ride is serviceable and is actually my favorite to crash/ride on. The hat kinda sucks except when open. I use my regular hat and achieve great sound and overall still a huge reduction in noise for my bandmates. Use for beginners practicing in the home, rehearsals, and potentially for live/studio use cases. If they could get the hat a little better, I would give it a perfect score. Btw, great price! ... show more

  • My roommates are less disgruntled, a little bit of red transfer
Size: 10"14"16"18"20" Color: Red
The media could not be loaded. Overall, these are great! I have played drums off and on for years but always stopped because the volume is unbearably loud for anyone I live with. Especially for the price, these are great and work as well as I'd hoped. They are a little louder than I expected but still SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than my normal cymbals. Only gripe, as you can see by the photos, is the red finish transferring to my snare/tom mute pads. Where the hi-hats come together, the red finish rubbed off within the first play session. I can't really complain enough to dock a star and all visible red finish has proved pretty durable despite some numerous hours practicing. ... show more

  • Important to know what you are trying to achieve.
Size: 14"16"18"20" Color: Silver
Added this pack (Silver) in conjunction with my Roland TD 25 e-drum set effectively creating a "Hybrid" kit. Looks good, sounds and feels AMAZING!!! - For practicing with the band it obviously plays as standard cymbals but at a fraction of the volume (and price). Would not work well if you're in an apartment type setting where sound or volume attenuation is critical. - Live Performances : Have not tried it yet however in a small/confined venue without mics these would work and still sound great especially for keeping the overall band volume low. Old school overhead mics and one on the hi-hat would definitely work for added volume but just go with your typical cymbals at that point. I've also seen YouTube vids showcasing other low profile mic options specifically for these low volume cymbals. In all, these are a great purchase and addition but it would depend upon what your needs are. ... show more

  • Great cymbals that don't destroy your ears!
Size: 14"16"18"20" Color: Silver
The perfect cymbal for rehearsals. Especially in smaller spaces. In fact they sound pretty amazing and I'll be using them at a show in a few months. Great for all styles of music.

  • Super value!
Size: 14"16"18"20" Color: Gold + Cymbal Bag
I've owned five (yes, 5!!) other types of low volume cymbals: Zildjian L80's, Gen16's (the original & the BB), Sabian, and Agean. For the price, this set of Arborea are fabulous! Great sound quality and well made. Word of caution: these are thin; they're the thinnest LV cymbals I've played. If you're a heavy hitter, I'd say 'beware'. I'm not heavy-handed - I used these on a low volume acoustic gig in a listening room and they're perfect. ... show more

  • High hats dont sound so great
Size: 10"14"16"18"20" Color: Black
I bought the black set, looks great, but the high hats are not a good sound quality - they sound like an empty coffee can or sheet of tin and not like actual high hat cymbals should sound. I returned set for this reason, unfortunately. The others sound good although not much different from each other not even the 10" crash. I bought a cheap 5pc junior drumset, love it, came with low end basic, cheap 10 inch high hats and one 12 inch cymbal. They sound great compared to this set. I bought the set wanted black cymbals, low volume and larger high hats. But the high hat is a deal breaker for me. If you just want them to practice and sound isnt a concern they're a great set for the price. They look cool and are a bitt lower volume. ... show more
