Built in Thunderbolt cable in my Apple Thunderbolt Display failed, this cable worked perfectly to connect to my macbook pro. Just note that it's not very long, so you'll want to order a longer one if you need to connect to a desktop that is more than a foot away.

The cable from my thuderbolt display finally flaked out after 10 years. I didn't want to buy the proper cable that has the charger cord for 80+ bucks. This cable did the trick. Sound and USB works fine with it. Just don't have the mag-safe cable anymore.

I have a Thunderbolt monitor, which even for the age works great and looks better than anything else out there. However, my Thunderbolt cable connection stopped working. I had looked at getting a new set of cables and taking apart the display and replacing it. I was watching videos on how to do that, when I came across a comment to just get a TB 2 male-to-male cable and plug into the TB port on the back of the display. Seemed much easy and cheaper, so gave it a try and it works perfectly! If you are daisy chaining other displays using the TB port, then this won't allow you to do that any more, but I just have the one display.

I don't know why for returned item I'm being notified to review the item. I returned it not because it's not working, it's because I no longer need it. It didn't work with the technology I had in hand. I needed something else instead. When I received the item it's not brand new. It seems like a returned item, b/c on the box it says something like โThank you for giving the technology a second lifeโ. That's why I gave a 4 stars because it's not brand new. I don't mind if this is a returned item. On the page it says new, but when I receives it it's unboxed. If the condition is labeled correctly I would give it a 5 stars.

When I've received this white box, my first thought was that I received a single lab grown diamond that I've never ordered. But, to my surprize, when I opened the box, I saw something even more valuable. My new 2.0 m (as in two meters, a cool measurement system that imperial unit slaves are not aware) Thunderbolt 1.0 (as in version 1.0 not to be confused with cable length) cable ! ... Even though you would probably never want a Thunderbolt hit your overly expensive laptop, you would definitely use this cable to connect your valueable peripheral devices such as an anti gravitational elevation device. After plugging it into my dark energy to dark matter converter system, I've noticed that my free electron waves seeing not much resistance from this cable's metal lattices, they were just happily flowing with their usual perfunctory sloppiness and causing unneeded temperature rise as usual. I think my life now has a new meaning, I will always carry this 40 Dollar cable with me with deep pride knowing that I'm contributing to some Apple people's absurdly hefty mortgage payment while some poor workers assembling this in China are just trying to get by.
