A good dust cover, this case will not protect from much else. It is an excellent, low profile, cover which does not add anything bulk wise to the overall profile, but it also will not offer any type of drop protection at all. I also wish there was a way to secure the Apple Pencil. Overall, it’s definitely constructed to apple standards as a nice feeling cover that will protect the screen, just do not ask it to do much else.

I had another iPad case before this one that was much cheaper, but it was too bulky for me and added too much weight. This folio is very light and doesn't add much weight to the iPad. The wake/sleep functionality is also perfect, as is the front cover magnetizing to the back of the iPad during use. This is to be expected since Apple designed this folio specifically to work with these devices. All that said, this folio will absolutely not guard against drop damage. If your iPad is going to get a little more abuse than mine (if kids will use it or if you'll be using it in some rough environments, etc) you may need someone that will offer more protection. But for me, these folios are the best cases.

So yeah, didn't think I would buy this, thinking it was overpriced. But it is in fact worth the money. The sleep feature works the best on this case than other non-branded cases I've owned. It feels incredible when you hold it. I only wish Amazon had the lilac color

Let’s be honest, there are $8 copies of this product out there and yes I have tried them and was very disappointed. The $8 version came apart at the seams. So now instead of spending $100 on finding a slim magnetic silicone cover I have spent a total $108 on finding a slim magnetic silicone cover. “Buy once, cry once” definitely applies here. Just go ahead and buy the 1st party option on this one.
