  • THis keyboard is worht the spend
Color: White Keys Style: US English
Okay, let's be clear about one thing, we pay a nice premium for the Apple logo. Having said that, this keyboard is still a good value. It was easy to connect to my Mac. Once done it gets rediscovered quickly when turning the computer on. The slight wedge in the design does make using it a bit more comfortable. Another nice feature is that the keyboard has a finger print button so I don't have to reach for the computer to use that. As far as I can tell they battery life is fine, I haven't had any issues with the keyboard dying or posting messages about low power. It also has an on/off switch which also helps conserve power. Recharging is simple with the cable that came with the keyboard. I have multiple devices on my desk, Windows and Mac so having the cordless keyboard helps keep clutter and tangles to a minimum. ... show more

  • Let's Add a Fingerprint Button and Charge $80 Extra For It
Color: Black Keys Style: US English
Honestly, the keyboard works great. But typical Apple, jacks the price up $80 over the non-fingerprint model. And yes, I'm so lazy that I opted for the fingerprint model vs. using the fingerprint button about 2 feet away on my Macbook Pro. It works great, love the full number keypad, and the key touch response is identical to the latest gen of 2022 keyboard on Macbook Pros. I just wish laziness didn't cost so much. ... show more

  • Wouldn’t recommend Touch ID
Color: White Keys Style: US English
Love it but I got the Touch ID version and it doesn’t appear to work. I’ve even gone through the Mac settings for Touch ID and keyboard without luck. Really disappointed in how much extra it costs for it not to work but it’s a good keyboard.

  • Integrated Touch ID
Color: Black Keys Style: US English
This is a good keyboard. The integrated Touch ID is a great bonus. Key travel could be a problem for some, but id you’re familiar with witless apple or Microsoft keyboards, then you know key travel isn’t much. It connects seamlessly, and the keys do not pertrude too much and has an excellent feel when typing. This keyboard requires an M1 chip or higher to be functional. Also, for those complaining about the serial number, apple DOES NOT, offer a warranty for their accessories ie, keyboard, Magic Mouse, etc, so your serial number for your accessory will not come up if you’re trying to register it. ... show more

  • Works great - with one gotcha - but could be better on battery life and price
Color: White Keys Style: US English
Like the previous Magic Keyboards I have used, this one is easy to type on and relatively quiet, though not silent. If you like the short-stroke keyboards Apple makes, you'll like this one. However, battery life is not very good: you'll find yourself having to plug it in to your Mac every few weeks. And the price is very high, compared to the nice wired Apple keyboard I used for years on my iMac. The "reason" for this is the TouchID. You may not want this feature depending on how you use the keyboard. If you're constantly on the go and inserting your MacBook into a dock often, you will find the promised convenience of the TouchID is limited, since it will not turn on the MacBook, only unlock it. To turn it on, you still have to open the MacBook and use the TouchID key there to start the computer before you put it in a stand and plug into the dock. I tend to leave mine attached to the dock a lot, and so putting it to sleep and waking it with the TouchID on the keyboard is great. If you always use sleep mode when you aren't using your MacBook, this shouldn't be a problem. ... show more

  • Refund takes FOREVER
Color: White Keys Style: US English
The Touch ID is a great perk and low finger travel is easy on the hands, other than that it’s overpriced. This was for work, and I already have one for another mac so I sent this mac in favor of a Logic MX. Getting the refund from the vendor is taking weeks…booo!
