Should I Buy It?

If you're in need of an adapter to connect your wired headphones to an iPhone and care about audio quality, this is an excellent purchase. It offers superb value for its price but is not recommended for high impedance headphones. If sturdiness and a long lifespan are top priorities, you might want to consider other options, though the adapter is generally deemed reliable. Overall, most users would recommend buying this product.

  • Sleeper Mobile DAC/Amp
95% of people will buy this just to be able to connect their wired headphones to their iPhone, but what they won't realize is this a very capable DAC/amp (emphasis more on the DAC) that powers relatively low impedance headphones with ease and measures incredibly well for the price. I plugged HD58x's into these (relatively easy to power) and they got plenty loud enough and sounded great. You can tell when going from something like a Liquid Spark or JDS Atom to this that the openness and separation does suffer a little bit, but it's shocking how close they are. What this won't do is properly power high impedance headphones. It's not a ton of power into 32 ohms, so when you start to get to 250 ohms+ it's not capable enough to take full advantage of what those headphones can do. Still, this is absolutely the best DAC/amp you can buy for under $10 and represents one of the best values in audio in my opinion. I didn't really need this for any specific reason, but I bought it to play around with and am super pleased with its performance. I'll still use my desktop setup most of the time, but if I want to walk around the house and don't want to use Bluetooth, this is the only way to go. If you're just looking for a converter and don't understand or care about most of what is written above, you'll also be very pleased. Essentially, these will make your headphones sound better while providing a strong, secure connection into your phone. I can't recommend this product enough. ... show more

  • Quality Apple lightning to 3.5 mm headphone jack
I bought this to replace a lower quality headphone jack adapter for my over the ear Sony headphones after it stopped working after about 10 uses. At first I thought it was the headphones, but then decided to buy this to make sure before replacing my expensive headphones and they worked great. They are well built and hopefully will last a long time. ... show more

  • Dead simple Apple Lightning DAC.
It does a single job and does it very well. Construction appears to be very good. I have four of these - two for Lightening and two for USB-C - and zero issues have ever arisen. Fantastic low price is routinely available.

  • Good
Worked great, amazing sound quality. Never had any issues with the sound cutting out when twisting certain ways. But it did stop working randomly after 1 year and 10 months. Wire never frayed and stayed together well.

  • Beautiful
This thing saved my vacation. I am newly married and had to do a cross-country trip with my new husband. I thought that we like the same music. Wrong. L O L luckily I had my headphones with me and I had this little device in my purse for just this type of situation. It was beautiful. Highly recommend if you don’t have a headphone jack on your phone. I know some of you were laughing. I have an iPhone (newer S model ) and there is no headphone jack, and my phone is roughly about two years old if that. So everybody do a check. Make sure that you don’t get caught on the road with somebody who’s musical taste you don’t necessarily care much for without this little headphone jack and noise canceling headphones are a must. ... show more

  • Works great, hate that I need it
The product itself works great. It's unobtrusive, my headphones stay attached to it well, it is nice to have a pair of headphones I don't need to charge for long flights. I hate that I need it though. I also hate needing to confirm on my Apple phone that what I've plugged in is actually Apple headphones via an Apple connecter (not every time, but most times?). So these complaints are around the product's existence, but not about the product. ... show more
