The light blue color of the case is clearly visible, and the feel of the case is that of titanium metal, making it as smooth and silky as the phone itself. This is what people refer to as a “slippery” feel. The bump on the top ensures that the phone sits level on a table, and the overall design doesn’t add much to the phone’s bulk. Very good. Very stylish. Frames the OLED screen nicely, in StandBy Mode it looks like a smart clock. Texture is good, and the design is minimal but bold. Grip is not as bad as some say, but it is indeed slightly slippery.

This bumper has zero grip. Pulled the phone out of my pocket, and it flew out of my hand! I really like that it allows you to feel the thin, light design, but it won’t help you hold onto the phone. Definitely not worth the price tag! I’m not sure what’s going on at Apple, but between this and the disastrous OS 26.0 update, it seems like their trademark attention to detail is slipping, just like an iPhone Air out of your hand.

First off, the bumper is excellent quality - something expected from Apple. It’s sturdy and the buttons, etc., line up perfectly and I love the way it looks so cool on my Air. It is kind of slippery because it’s not the bendable material used on many cases. However, I think you could just as easily drop full case made of the bendy material. The bumper obviously wouldn’t offer as much protection as a full case so you may want to consider which style would work best for you. That said, once you get it on, it’ll drive you mad should you want to remove it. I actually did a search for a ‘how to’ and found something about starting at a bottom corner. I was afraid I would at least crack the thin glass protector, let alone the iPhone screen itself. No joy. Then I remembered the matte glass screen protector set I also bought came with this little tool as you see in the picture. It’s a little black plastic thing with a textured cover over the top edge. I was able to carefully and slowly pry apart the side of the bumper and work my way down to the bottom corner. Et voilà! Initially I thought if I manage to get this thing off, it’s staying off! But there was no damage whatsoever. Just be careful and take your time. Now I know. Put it back on. 😊 This little bumper suits my needs. I’m glad I got it. I love the minimalist aesthetic and it showcases my iPhone Air beautifully. Took off a star because of the difficulty removing it.

I will start by saying this still leaves a protruding camera bump, which could be damaged in a drop. Quality is slippery! It makes the phone feel somewhat bulky, but also allows a firm grip. The color (Tan) matched my iPhone Air (Light Gold). I unfortunately have to say it doesn’t offer much protection and isn’t worth the money.

Disappointed in the bumper -- it's a hard plastic and just as slippery as the metal was. I decided to take it back off and just go without a case for now. I was expecting a soft touch grippy case like their silicone cases, which would be great. If you DO want a hard plastic bumper, this one is well made and fits well.
