Snappy, looks nice, runs everything perfectly. Build quality is what you come to expect. I was a little worried with it being the air, that it would have been much more fragile, but nope, it's my ride or die pack up tablet. Now, I've never dropped it to any severe height, but it's fallen off my bed and chair a few times, with nothing more than a very VERY minor scuff mark on a corner. I've used it daily since purchase and have only regretted not getting the larger screen as it's primarily used for art (I mean, I do kinda regret not holding out for maybe a month or two more and just getting the Pro, but hey, for this price, it's incredible). Screen is bright and crisp, and as long as you dont' have a screen protector it has zero issue with any touch screen functions. Storage is a little small, but with icloud as long as you have a good wifi it's fine. 10/10 iPad is the king of tablets for art for a reason.

It was coming up on time to get a new computer but, since iOS now has actual multi-tasking, as well as resizable and moveable windows, the iPad has become a viable replacement for a laptop. After considering what kinds of things I need to be able to do, I realized I can probably do everything via either iPad apps or web applications. So, I bought the iPad. I already had a Bluetooth keyboard. I don’t have a Bluetooth mouse to use with it, but that really hasn’t been an issue, thanks to the touchscreen. By the way, if you have a smart TV, you can also cast your iPad screen and have a nice large screen. If you don’t have a smart TV, but you have a TV with an HDMI port, you can get a USB-C to HDMI adapter, pretty cheap. I have one, and tried it out. It worked perfectly, as an alternative to casting. I haven’t needed to pull out my old laptop for anything, since I got the iPad. So, I would say, unless you are a serious coder, the iPad should work as a laptop replacement for you. Even if you do write code, I believe there are ways to do what you need to do on the iPad. It would probably just be considerably better to do it on a computer. At least for now.

My wife isn't all that demanding on her uses so I 'downgraded' from an iPad Pro to an iPad Air. She used the iPad Pro for 8 years but it started getting difficult to just surf. We replaced it and couldn't be happier. The Pro is overkill and I'm even considering downgrading myself.

This tablet feels solid and well-built, with no flexing like some of the cheaper plastic tablets I’ve used in the past. The screen is the brightest I’ve ever used, and the battery lasts several days before needing a charge. It has a premium feel and appearance, as you’d expect from an Apple product. After 15 years of using Android devices, I’ve switched to the iPadOS ecosystem, and I couldn’t be happier with the change.

After ordering this iPad I understood why the price was under $500.00 The battery life is horrible, regardless if you have the battery saver icon or if the brightness is turned low. It won’t last you two hours for sure. But it could be because I’m comparing it to my 16 pro max. Also, I couldn’t transfer my stuff from my phone because I’ve already had too much iCloud storage. I wished it went off the device storage, I pay for extra storage now unfortunately. Having 128 is completely useless now because it doesn’t even go off of that. Ask yourself do you actually need this, it’s literally just a phone, bigger screen less range. Everyday I look at this tablet and say to myself that I really wasted my money.
