This was the perfect dress for a Classic Hollywood formal affair that I MC'd. I had to be sure I fit the part and was not underdressed and this dress was did not disappoint! Dressed up with pearls and gold bling, it was perfect! The glimmer was just right and did not look cheap. I didnt have any issues with the weight or opacity. It does have a half slip. I recieved compliments all night and I was comfortable too! The empire waist meant no shape wear and the pleated skirt flowed beautifully while disguising my soft belly. The gathers on the bodice added texture. I wore a strapless bra but added a clear plastic diagonal strap, which probably wasn't necessary. I needed a safety pin at the top of the zipper because the top was a bit big on me and sagged a little to show some back fat. I'm 5'5" and I wore a 2.5" heel, which was perfect floor length. Directions say to hand wash and iron. I let it air dry and the pleats are fine. It's still just as shiny. The zipper could have been sturdier. It doesn't have a protective flap to protect your skin from being zipped. I would have preferred that it had pockets, but no. Overall I loved it and wish I had more occasions to wear this dress! ... show more

This dress was very beautiful and flattering. I got many compliments on it. It makes your chest look very large and your waist look small. It’s a little bit snug around the middle so I went up size which made the top a little bit baggy so I had to pin it. For the cost, it is a great deal. I put it in the washing machine on delicate after the event and it came out great so you don’t even have to dry clean! ... show more

It's actually a really cute dress. I am 5'4 240 lbs and it his me length wise perfectly. I gave 4 stars because of the fit. I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't too tight around my rib cage like a lot of tops, BUT the bust area was much too big for me and was saggy. That's probably more of a personal problem though because I am a plus size girl with b cups, (sad I know) where most larger women have large boobs as well. So it may work for you, just didn't me. The material isn't uncomfortable & has a black slip underneath. Not see through. The shoulder piece is nice and wide. The metallic aspect of it doesn't look cheap like I feared, it is an overall good looking gown-especially for the price. ... show more

Fabulous dress. Went to a black tie garden themed wedding and ordered this last minute. It is striking. Comfortable and fabric feels quality. As others have stated the zipper feels very cheap. Be gentle with it. Highly recommend. Flattering and fun!

LOVE this dress. Bought it for a costume and loved it. Wish I had more places to wear it. It’s so comfortable and flattering. It falls beautifully. I’m 5’3 and it is a tad bit long but would be perfect with some heels. The bust was a little big but the way it draped, it looked intentional.
