Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this almost 6 months ago and it has held up very well. We purchased two and the outlet still work well me it is still very study. It took us maybe an hour- hour and half to put together. We were missing a screw for the outlet but it sits in there perfectly, so not a big deal. This is a great desk for the price! It was easy to put together and looks great in my son's room. It is sturdy and holds all his school supplies to complete his homework. We do not put anything too heavy in the drawers like books but there is a side panel where we store the books.

This is probably the best Do Your Own Assembly kit I've ever ordered. The manual is clear with excellent English. It has two assembly versions-whether the shelves go to the left or right. Just follow your decision. I put the shelves on my right as my old computer desk had that configuration. Everything bolted together as it should with the exact amount of parts. The shelves themselves are fabric. Once folded out and using the included bottom base they are sturdy enough to hold my blank DVD's, notebooks, and miscellaneous items. One can be set up as a folder holder which is extremely handy. I have a dedicated file cabinet though. The desk is sturdy and firm. My only mistake was not measuring my PC tower to see if it fit in the allotted space. It is rather tall and does not fit. I left out the side rail and canted the case into the spot. It'll do and next time I'll remember to take nothing for granted. ... show more

Item arrived in excellent condition. Assembly was easy. All parts fit well and evenly. After assembly and all screws, nuts and bolts were firmly secured the desk was sturdy and bottom foot pads provided leveling. Wooden desk tops were of good strong quality. This desk is worth it's value and more.
