This is incredibly relaxing. At least it is now. But first, when I received it, I had to remove the plexiglass window in order to remove the plastic coating on either side. Replacing the window was easy. Although the Bookshelf came with a screwdriver as well as some screws for the window, they’re not necessary. The window fits in the opening with picture points already provided. The Bookcase closes with a firm latch. The hinges, however, are on the bottom, rather than the side. I thought this would make the Bookcase uneven, not level, but what they do is allow the Bookcase tilt back just very slightly in order for the little books to stay in. The hinges really do not interfere with the activity at all. There are over 300 books in the set. I didn’t count them. However, after placing the books in the 12 shelves, I had quite a few left over and each shelf holds 28 books; maybe 29 if you want a snug fit. Like other reviewers have stated, there were a lot of duplicates. Fifty Shades of Gray was 3x. I threw all 3 away. I would never keep such a book in my full sized bookshelves, I’m certainly not going to keep the tiny ones either. Alice in Wonderland was included 5x, To Kill a Mockingbird 4x. I kept these extras just in case they’re needed in the future. I was surprised at the design of the Bookshelf. It is well made and easy to handle. I did find it easier to lay the bookshelf on its back to place the books inside. I have small hands but I still struggled to place the books in the shelves. Finally, I gently laid it on its back and then I had no problem. It was a relaxing and enjoyable activity. Today was my first try at it. I simply placed the books in, in any order. Next time, I may try a different tactic such as by color, or by genre, or author, etc. I recommend this item for anyone who gets tense or anxious and just wishes a way to release some pressure without exploding. Kind of like using a pressure cooker.

This product created such a buzz and I love books and I love organizing. I tried to find the most well made and affordable. This is a larger one but when you are done will need 2 shelves more of books. Which you can find on Amazon easily. Although, this created a much more complex product then I had hoped. The books are small and I used tweezers to place them. All in all this is very well made and nice but I haven’t gone back to tackle again.

So great concept. Love the idea of the anxiety bookshelf and was very excited to get it. However, the books themselves are just way too thin and the spine of each book really doesn’t give the feeling that seeing and able to read the spine of the book, the title of the book gives. I don’t know if that makes sense. I saw on a different Website that the original creator of anxiety bookshelf has much thicker spine so you can actually read the title of the book. That’s kind of more along the lines of what I was looking for. Not only is it going to be an anxiety bookshelf, but also serve as a decoration for my actual bookshelf itself. And so that Detail is what I was looking for and I think what would make it special in a decorative sense. So for that reason, and only that reason alone, I will be returning this one. I will say that the other one with the thicker spine is double the price so take that how you will.
