got this for my shed ramp, but of course it's been wet ever since it arrived, so I'm waiting for things to dry out before applying it. I'm hopeful, and the grip does seem like it'll be good to add to the boards. I like that it comes in a roll, so I can apply longer strips to the boards. I recently built a new set of stairs with five steps up to our porch. The steps are not covered so they get wet in the rain and are exposed to a lot of harsh weather and wildly varying temperatures. At first, I rolled strips of this grip tape onto the steps and let it sit for a couple of hours. When I came back, not only did they not stick, but were blown off by the wind. This was a massive user error because I had put several layers of water seal on the whole stair assembly. The instructions specifically state that such an application is not correct. For my second try, I applied the tape and rolled it onto wood flooring that was clean and had no additional protective layer, waited for the specified amount of time and this stuff adhered great. The surface is very grippy and does not wear down after some foot traffic. All you have to do is follow the directions and you will be very happy with the results. It rolls out pretty flat, cuts easily, and as long as you don't scrape your knuckles when applying pressure to the roller, it's a painless installation. 32' of this tape for around 7 bucks is a great deal and for the safety application makes this a fantastic value.

I ordered this for some outdoor steps that like to get icy in the winter. At first, I tried applying it on a chilly day, but I found the adhesive wasn't sticking so well. I waited for a warmer day, cleaned the steps thoroughly, and started laying this stuff down. It stuck hard, even where my cleaning job was less than perfect. The tape itself is jet black, which may or may not help it stand out depending on your situation. It applied easily, cuts with scissors, and the grit is BIG and GRIPPY. They describe it like skateboard grip tape, but the grains are much more coarse than that, practically little rocks - think 30 grit sandpaper. This makes it extremely grippy under your feet! And the thick coating over the grit suggests these will last a long time - but of course, only time will tell.

Two steps on my composite deck are exposed to the weather and get slippery when wet. Befoer applying the anti-slip tape, I cleaned the area with alcohol and was surprised how much cleaning I had to do to get it clean. I dried then applied. Easy to apply, very forgiving (before I pressed down hard) as I had to reposiition one strip. My desk is a light color so this contrasts well providing good visibility AND traction. The product comes in a wide variety of sizes to fit most situations. It gives me a bit more peace of mind going up and down these stairs on the deck when they are wet. For me this is a good value.

I have rock sliders on my F150 for protection off roading that also serve as a step to get into my truck. They were just painted metal and would get quite slippery when wet at all. This anti slip tape works well and was easy to cut to length and apply. It seems like it will stay on it my rugged outdoor environment, time will tell.
