If I would have reviewed this dress a year ago, when I purchased the black version, I'd have said 5 stars. Sizing in the listing was dead on (I'm a 12 in jeans and the L fit perfect, not too tight in the top and the skirt had all the swish I wanted.) The tank portion is soft and cut in a fashionable and flattering way (as the product image shows) that cuts in around the arm holes. Loved it. The skirt portion was a completely different material. Kinda structured, but not stiff. Just a really solid and quality, thick fabric. Pockets were amazing and the overall dress had such versatility. Add a belt, a jacket, etc... a winner. And it's been washed and dried a million times. STILL LOVE. 5 stars. BUT THEN... I bought another a few months later in the burgundy. It was not the same. I returned it. I waited a year, still wearing and loving the original black dress and thought I'd try again with another black and the cyan. Still not the same. Had to write this review cause I'm just really frustrated. The tank seems to have lost the design aesthetic that made it flattering and fun. It's now boxier and more... well, forgettable. Just looks like a plain old black tank with no shape. The skirt's even worse. Gone is the sturdy, not at all see through, flowing fabric. In its place (on all three I bought since the original black one and have since returned) is a dull, almost matte, silk-like, not completely transparent (but definitely not opaque) fabric. So disappointed. Look, we know, for the price, there's going to be some inconsistency in the construction. That's the game we play to get a good value. We might have to return a few and try again. So be it. But I waited a year and it's still not the same dress I bought originally. That's why the three stars. It's not one star... I'd say it's worth trying. You might like the silkier fabric. I didn't. I'm a glutton for punishment and I'm sure I'll try again a year from now because the original is that great. You never know, they might see a drop in sales or an uptick in returns and go back to the way it was. I can hope!

This dress is absolutely beautiful. I am blown away with how nice the quality is for the price. The skirt portion is a dressier fabric than a basic cotton but not shiny/inexpensive looking. The pockets are great and you can’t even tell that they’re there. It can be wore so many different ways, dressed up or down. I bought it in Black, size Large, I weigh 150 pounds and am 5’ 4”. It fit slightly big. I purchased another in the navy (but this one in medium) the very same day. Waiting to receive to compare the fit. I will be buying more colors for sure.

For context I’m 5’1 and 133 lbs. The dress is the medium green. This is better than I thought it would be! I thought it would be a stiffer fabric like similar dresses I’ve seen in stores but it’s actually soft and the skirt swings. I think I might want to get it in more colors because I can see this being a basic staple wardrobe item worthy of a neutral color. It can be dressed up with statement jewelry, cardigans, jackets, or blazers. I see myself paring this with a jean jacket and sandals but I think it will also look great with my adidas. It’s a nice option as a travel item for your capsule wardrobe because I don’t imagine it will wrinkle easily and has so many ways it can be layered and styled. As a summer dress it’s nice and breezy. I like to doesn’t cling to any curves below the waist. It flatters and is forgiving, so I can imagine it wearing very well in any crowd or on any occasion. At the prime day price under $20, it is a very pleasant surprise.

This is specifically for the brown version of the dress The fabric of the skirt is some kind of a stretch knit. It clings to your legs, and hangs heavy, keeping no shape. When I bought the pink, light blue, and green version of this dress 2 years ago, they were a are a nice stiff cotton blend, that holds its own shape, and does not cling. I will be asking for a refund on the brown version of this dress.

Here is your dress, ma'am. This dress exceeds my expectations. I got the black and have been able to wear it year - round in my Midwest climate. The fit is true to size, I am curvy and this has a flattering fit and conceals the tummy nicely and is not overwhelming with too much fabric. The top part is a fitted, ribbed racerback style, not thick or heavy but not too thin, it lies flat and has held its shape. It is perfect under any type of sweater or top layer. It has a modest but flattering round neckline. The skirt part is adorable. It has a soft flare, midi length falling at the most flattering part of the calf and it has nice sized pockets that do not add any bulk to the silhouette. The fabric is some type of cotton blend. I wash on cold, gentle and hang dry. I go over it with a steamer and it looks great every time.
